So why ain't there TWO Viets: One for Age II and the other (Nguyen) for Age III?

Central Asia is still empty, but that's nothing new. :coffee:
That's already covered by Mongolia and Russia. :mischief:

But seriously what are the chances that we'd get something like Bactria, Sogdia, or the Timurids in the game? I would say after getting a civ like Nepal and Bulgaria so early, their chances are greater than previous games.

That's North Asia. :p

Yes, I feel like Central Asia's chances are better than they've been in the past. Getting a full Central Asian line like Sogdia > Uzbeks > Durrani would be a dream.

I at least count Scythia from Civ 6 as Central Asia. On TSL they start east of the Caspian Sea and Tomyris herself was Massagetae.
So that's a start that surely, they will continue to improve? :dunno:

I also count Scythia, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Scythia and Tomyris return. But I do hope we can get some settled Silk Road representation, too.

Welp, you just reminded me that Xerxes the Achaemenid has Silk Road as his ability. Maybe they could always rename it to Royal Road? :hmm:
