Sukritact's Events and Decisions

Hi Sukritact. I get some CTDs when using JFDs P&P mod that depends on E&D. I don't know whether they come from E&D or P&P. I had several CTDs occur at end of Barbarian turn or at the beginning of player turn, but last one occurred when i tried to open the Decisions panel. I've already posted in the P&P thread but JFD is currently clueless about those :( (i'll also ask in the CP sub-forum)

Mods enabled were (and EUI was disabled).
  • Latest CP
  • Events and Decision
  • Latest P&P
In case those can help you

I don't think i have posted here before so i want to tell you you've done a great job on this mod :goodjob:

Hi Sukitract, great mod here thank you!

I just wanted to pop in and make two QoL requests (haven't read the whole thread so I apologize if these have been requested previously):
  • When there is a notification for new decisions it would be wonderful if Lclicking the notification would open the decisions panel.
  • Closing the decisions panel by pressing ESC also opens the game menu as if there wasn't a panel open in game - it would be great if it didn't!

Thanks, keep up the good work.:)

I quite enjoy this awesome mod:goodjob:, but when I played a game with the Greeks ( only other mods were infoaddict and eui,) I am unable to enact the upgrade to pikeman decision even though I meet all requirements.
Is there any way to force the decision through say, fire tuner? I really like the game I was in, and any info would be appreciatiated!

So this mod would be a great way to include a true assimilation system for Civs.

I've always thought that if a civ managed to knock another out completely, they should have some way to gain their conquered territory's abilities.

Like say, there was a decision that required you to:

1. Have control of an enemy capitol.

2. Any cities that belonged to them and are now under your control are completely anexxed, with Courthouses (Including the capitol.)

3. Enough time has passed where liberating those cities would not bring that Civ back.

Then, for a steep Culture and magistrate cost (or w/e the new resource is called), you can gain access to that conquered civs' Unique Buildings/Improvements/Units. Gaining the Unique Ability of that civ would also be awesome, but that might be a bit too OP, as well as it likely being a coding nightmare.

There could also be a Happiness cost/penalty involved, what do you guys think?

No they can't. Unless they changed it, civs cannot be liberated after more than an era of being knocked out of the game.

Hi!
So I've been playing as Arabia, with Events and Decisions, and noticed that the unique decision Arabia has, to get 3 Camel Archers and a Great General, doesn't actually require Chivalry - you just have to be in medieval era. Is this intentional or an oversight? The ability to get 3 Camel Archers long before you'd otherwise be able to recruit them is... a bit strong.

Are you... you aren't marbozir, right?

It wasn't unintentional per-se, but I didn't believe the actual decision to be that powerful.

I will take your feedback into account for future updates; not really satisfied with the effect in any case.

Thanks! Means I can steamroll my neighbors with clear conscience.

Considering he's been here for 12 years, and his sig says he's Marbozir, and he discussed his current Let's Play...I'd say that the answer's obvious.
Indeed. ;)
I've been a lurker on CivFanatics for over a decade now, I just wasn't an active poster.

I hope you are aware of the fact that Arabia's decision(the other one) gives you +20% science from gold buildings(if i remember right).
Also, the people who create the civs you use are actually watching your LPs. :crazyeye:
Oops, i meant 40 science from trade units.

I've never played as Egypt, and wonder if it is possible to switch between focus on the Nomes and the Pharao multiple times.

I'd be happy if that was the case.

IIRC you can. If you enact Nomes, then want to go to Pharaohs, enacting that one would unenact Nomes. Then you could switch back later, unenacting Pharaohs in the process. At least I think that's how it works.

So I've almost finished playing as the Mayans for my Let's Play. Did you guys want to suggest which civ I play as next? (Or any specific scenario) I'll try to avoid anything Marbozir is doing just so there's no repetition. :) If any of you haven't visited my channel, do come and watch! (https://www.youtube.com/user/DarthOxillious) Cheers! :)

Great to see you on here too Marbozir! I'm Oxillious who messaged you a while ago about becoming a new Let's Player. Things are going quite well since then! :)
