Summer 2006 Football transfers

Kerlon is fatty and do not run or pass the ball. He's like 3rd suplent from Cruzeiro, my home town team. Unless he change a lot, he will never get in senior squad on Man Utd... 'bout Alex, he's just an ok deffender, nothing special... But when he used to play on Santos, ppl used to talk like he was god. Same with Renato/Sevilla, Elano/Shaktar... According to press they was best soccer players in the world.

That game was really fun, the Bahia v Santos, and I was watching Cruzeiro play and he started losing to 1x0 till second half. Than Luxemburgo subbed 3 players at once and guess what? Ended 2x1 :P

Diego is just a little player like u said, like Deco is. They can play some good games but never will be what the adepts want them to be.

If u want see good players that aren't famous, check Mineiro from São Paulo, Gabriel from Mallorca(reserve squad :( ), Gil from Cruzeiro, Carlinhos Bala from Santa Cruz, Jaja from Getafe... Lot's of goods young players but since the press do not like them, they don't became famous so u problably will never hear of them.

Kidding right? Diego had two wasted seasons at Porto, while Deco lead the team to every trophy any european club can aspire to. And right now he's the engine of Barcelona and the key player of Portugal.

He's just an ok player... Ya, he can play in midfield and attack, but he suck on both! :D

Deco is even more important then Ronaldinho on the Barcelona tactic, with Deco Barcelona is magic, without him, its a great team. Deco as won its second chapions league title and he will probably win somemore.

As far as freekick scoring Ronaldinho can learn a thing or two from Deco.

No way. I've seen Alex play weekly and that man seriously is fit for the starting 11 of the seleção. The Tank has proven he can take on any striker in the Champions League and has put a great performance in almost every match he has played for PSV this season. It's not a toa that Chelsea is looking for way to bypass the regulations so he can play for them, and also AC Milan has shown interest.

Diego is in no way comparable to Deco. Deco is lightyears ahead of him. Just because he switched sides doesn't make him a worse player you know. ;) You can admit you would just love having him instead of Leandro do Bomfim, Wagner or Sandro.. :D Or in case you are with Galo (which is questionable enough hehe), Deco would take you out of the Série B in 2 seconds.

I can't watch dutch games in here but when he played Santos he was just ok: Cris is way better than him, and so is Edu Dracena.

About Deco... He's just there cuz teams need 11 players, if they only needed 10, he would be out :P

Leandro and Sandro are really bad, but Wagner style is pretty much like Deco - He do some goals, play some good games, but he's just a little player.

On Deco position I like Felipe(Who's playing somewhere in middle east), Roger(Corinthians)...

But hey, Deco isn't that bad. I bet that if he was 'still a brazilian' he would be in world cup, taking Ricardinho's place and being kaka's suplent. But only cuz he's on a big club, not cuz he's good. :P

*Do not make fun of Cruzeiro players... U know that Coritiba ones are WAY worse :D

Werder transferred Johan Micoud to Girondins today, following his wishes to return to his home country. A sad day as the best player ever to wear the jersey of the club will leave. Merci Johan! :yeah:

In other German league news Bayern have bought HSV defender Daniel van Buyten for approximately ten million Euros. They are said to invest that money in Anderlecht's Vincent Kompany.

Apparently Werder will sign Porto's Hugo Almeida. I am sceptical about that. MCdread, any comment on the man?

Huge guy, a bit like the Robert Huth of offense, he's 20 or 21, and had a couple of caps already I think. Has been called the "new Vieri" before, bu so far, the only Vieri thing I see in him is the size. Annoying when he decides that he'll shoot from the half way line, when he's unbalanced, not turned to the goal, with players supporting and F**** 40 METERS AWAY FROM THE GOAL LINE!!!

Other than that, he's a good man to come up as substitute to use his size when the team needs a result fast. Btw, he was the one that scored that free kick against Inter that was one of the best goals of last season.
But I heard, he'd only go on a 1 year loan. Is that what you heard too?...

I heard that Porto signed a moroccan forward from AZ... And is still thinking of Vannegoor of Hesselink, dependent on McCarthy leaving or not.

Also, it's been said that Inter has signed Grosso, and Real Madrid wants Toni.

Anderlecht has been really busy on the transfer market. Never has a Belgian club spend that much money. I think they realised that they can't compete in the CL with the current players.

3. Jelle Van Damme from Southampton (€ 500.000)

5. Mbark Boussoufa from AA Gent (€ 3M) :(

Yes, it was done so today. One year loan with the option to buy him after that. We'll see, thanks for the info. :goodjob:

In fact he player for Werder last year, also on loan but it was decided not to buy him. A decent guy, so I wish him well, but his technical abilities weren't really sufficient to cope with the fast attacking style of play Schaaf has created here.

Transfers of FC Basel, so far

IN
Franz Burgmeier (Aarau)

OUT
David Degen (Borussia Mönchengladbach)
Matias Delgado (Besiktas Istanbul)
Baykal Kulaksizoglu (Köln),
Riccardo Meili (Concordia Basel)
Djamel Mesbah (Aarau)
Alexandre Quennoz (NE Xamax)
Murat Yakin (retired)

plus Pascal Zuberbühler will most likely join the West Bromwich Albions :ack:

so we lost all of our swiss national team players plus our star striker Delgado, and with Carignano still (or better again) injured we really need some more offense. :(

I would agree with you if you had said 'one of the best ever', but 'the best ever' is waaaaaay out there. :crazyeye:

Rudi was a great striker, but Micoud was the heart and soul of the most beautiful (and also most successful) football the club has ever played.

Best news possible for ManU - Paul Scholes is completely recovered from his vision problems
