Okay, let's see if I can last more turns this time!

1. g3

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4

It is usually bad to move the same piece several times in the opening.

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5

Not that you have a choice right now.

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5
5. 0-0

One of these days I'll actually get around to studying 'formal' openings, but for now, I'm happy just to be playing. If I last more turns that last time, I'll gladly accept a loss as an improvement...

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5
5. 0-0 exf4

You may not last as many moves if you throw away pieces like that...

You want to know something funny? That mistake was stupid even for me! The reason I didn't see it coming was because for some inexplicable reason I put your pawn on e6 on my board instead of e5. Sheesh...well, what's done is done.

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5
5. 0-0 exf4
6. gxf4

That's really sad. :(

I was hoping to show you that your g3 and Bh3 moves were bad. Now you'll just assume it was the loss of the Knight. :p

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5
5. 0-0 exf4
6. gxf4 Nc6

I'm quite sure they were bad moves since they didn't focus on the center of the board. As for the Knight and my misplacement of your pawn on my Winboard, well that was just dumb input, but I live with my mistakes.

I've got a birthday coming up and I suspect one of my gifts will be opening strategy material (my father has a bunch). For now though, I'm happy just to be playing. Having fun is the whole point right?

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5

2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5
5. 0-0 exf4
6. gxf4 Nc6
7. e3 Bd6

If I play without making any moves that are obvious mistakes on my level of playing, I'm happy. That's all I ask from a game.

I couldn't quite decide wether it's advantageous for me to keep the Queens on the board in this position or to follow the general rule of trading when up material... I have no ideas that seem to work so I guess I'll take the Queens off.

This decision will definately be subject to Chessmaster after the game.
I probably missed a mate in 16. :)

1. g3 d5
