Does anyone have pics of historic, iconic synagogues? I am interested in those in Europe and the middle East :)

I would like to make one as a resource and building.

"Europe & the Middle East" still leaves a lot of options. Can you narrow it down by requesting a general time period? I can post lots of useful pics for ya, but I need something more specific. Medieval European synagogues look very different from more modern ones. Same thing goes for Middle Eastern ones. Egyptian synagogues look different than Syrian ones, etc. A requested time period would help a lot & I'd love to help.

Here's a cool one:

Old-New Synagogue, Prague, Czech Republic.

Built in 1270. Europe's oldest active synagogue. One of the earliest Gothic buildings. Survived many pogroms, wars, fires & redevelopments over the centuries. Oldest surviving example of the medieval twin nave type of synagogue.

Franz Kafka attended & had his bar mitzvah there plus tons of other, older history.

I had come across that building in my own search :)
I thought it looked too simple, but since Kafka went there i might as well try to model it ;)

@Leaven: i need something that is medieval or a bit later than that ;)

Cool. I thought you'd like the Kafka connection.:) I tried to find an image of Edgar Allen Poe's synagogue, but came up blank.

The problem with making a synagogue model for Civ is that there really isn't a typical synagogue. They all look different.

Here's something more modern:
