Please help me, this is something I don't understand!
My g/f has bought SimCity4 and installed it on her notebook (with XP). The game crashes. In the manual it says that she should shut all hidden processes and only make sure that Explorer.exe and systray.exe are running. Yet, no systray.exe in her system32 archive. I guess this should be something that comes with XP, right? On my notebook I do have some "sistray.exe" and the game doesn't crash. Is it really possible that her notebook never had that systray.exe? How could we make the game work. My g/f is down to tears because she spent 40$ on the game and now can't play it...

Please help!

*sigh*

SimCity4?

How about taking control of the situation before it gets out of hand by converting her into a Civ III [c3c] Fanatic, hmm?

You know it's the right thing to do.

If it is XP, is it really possible to shut down all but Explorer.exe? I've tried to shut down some of them, but it just tells me it's impossible.

She should play Civ2, it's very cheap, doesn't require a very good computer, and beats Civ3 and SC4 most days.:)

I'm on my way converting her. Until now, she had only played Sports games and jump'n run...
In 5 years she'll be a Civfanatic, I'm sure. :)
3 years ago she didn't know anything about history and now I can't get her away from the Egyptian history books I gave her. I'm doing my best, but it takes some time. :D

Civ sucks compared to SC4.

Does her laptop meet the minimum system requirements? Also did she update the game through the website?
