Hi.

I'm considering getting a tablet or pad next month, and right now, my eye is on the Samsung Galaxy tab, and as much as I want to get ut right away, I've been told a new one is coming out next month, but I don't know the release date. Anyone know what it is?

As for the tab itself, does anyone have any experience with the Galaxy? What is the quality of the device?

If you have any alternative tablets you want to suggest, do you know any that have good impact resistance if I were to accidentally drop it?

Be careful that you buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 based on the 1GHz dual core Tegra 2 SoC, and not the older model with a 1GHz single core.

They're UK prices so they won't directly translate to US money, but it's a good list of tablets that you should research (or filter out of your research). I recommend you go into a shop and have a play around with some of these, see how convenient the buttons are, where the headphone socket is, little things like that.

I should be getting a free Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the next few weeks. I have no idea what I'm going to do with, but I'll post back with some thoughts.
