Tactics and strategy...follow the action

@ Ras...I think you should start a worker straight away (don't forget to work stone tile :)) to get it faster...regarding aztec scout it made me keep warrior home since I don't want him sitting on my improved corn...

@ Donovan...you took the wrong path to the cityyou should have walked straight on to have the option of 2 forests. You need to stay in forest as they are chopping and will have archer this turn or the next. Basically the forest next to the city would be ideal to occupy now as you will threaten both the pig tile and the city, thus forcing them to have city defender and unit to escort the worker.

Also what happened to the warrior? Why is it not finished this turn? Did you put hammers into something else for a turn?

@ Munro...I see you are going straight second worker...You will need a warrior however to protect your improved corn from Indian scout...no use improving the corn if you will let a scout sit on it. So maybe finish the warrior?

Regarding next tech...the first player to finish turn next turn will learn AH. SO the next 4 players will have to tech the next tech...Taking back what I said, I think we should go IW next as there will not be available workers to improve the stone anyway.

That makes sense, although if I'm not mistaken, I did it to clear out a last bit of fog. I'll be more mindful of this in the future though.

I just completed the Worker last turn, so I don't think there's any way I could have completed the Warrior in 1 turn (I only had 6 shields up this turn, so even working 2 forests would have given me a max of 8 shields.) The Warrior will complete at the end of next turn.

Regarding warrior...sorry I thought you already had some hammers in it, my mistake.

Regarding the warrior path, I am not telling you off or anything, just analysing the way I am thinking. The fog could be cleared by Ras's scout that is comming to the same spot as well, so securing the best path for the warrior seemed more important to me.

BTW, noone is perfect here so it is important that we all look at what each other are doing when we log in the game, and not only play our move....as 5 pair of eyes will spot things much better than a single pair of eyes.

This will become even more important later on when we will need to syncronize actions even more...

100% agreed, we are a team
@IS: okee dookie -> will switch to worker (actually, micro while building worker/settler is the only micro the AI/governor gets right ... but yeah, stone ofc ;))

 that was just a comment, I don't use it... but try it, while building a settler/worker, the governor has always the best micro. I add that 's prolly the only case (sorry Firaxis) ;)

Thoughts on where my dog should head? Don't know if trying to pillage his food or going for one of the forest hills immediately is best.

According to Munro's demographics Rome does not have archer yet...you could go for forest hill (straight path) and then delay his food by moving to the other hill, or go straight for the food...your call, but whether they have horse or not will determine more of what you do (we will know next turn).

The forest hill doesn't see the copper though. the western one does. Perhaps Dan should move through the hills to prevent him to hook up corn and in the end see what is going on with the copper?
My mad brain is thinking at gifted indian workers trying to hook up the copper just under our noise

edit: ofc there are 99% chances that they will be chopping SH instead

Are you sure you can't see that hill? I seem to recall a recent situation in which you underestimated visibility ... :p

Anyway, barring them taking the loooooong way around, you would be able to see any roadbuilding in that direction.

 since then, I have read more threads about this ;) ... though I am not sure of anything as always :)

I think the plain hill blocks the vision though.

edit: I guess you are right Indian...

It doesn't but so what? It is more important to prevent improving corn than copper.

Played my turn, discovered AH and set research to IW.

Horses: Zulu has one 2N of cap. Maya has one 3E which will be within the cultural radius of the capital in 12 turns. Persia has one to the NE which can easily be obtained with a second city.

I see no horses in any of our opponents radii that was can see. Rome and Babs 100% do not. Persia need to scout to the south of Aztec and Egypt.

Zulu capital is turning into a production monster capital with 4 hills + horse that is 17 hammers/turn at size 7 :)

That is making 2 axes/impis every 2 turns...

@ Ras...Can you plz head with your scout straight to explore the north of Maya and me...so we can see the land and plan the settling spot for the horses...

Sure Indiansmoke... sorry if I missed a post or something...

managed to get in to play Donovan's turn with 10 seconds on the clock...lol. Moved both the warrior and scout due East Maybe the warrior should have gone SE but 10 seconds isn't much time to think. Set overflow to worker for now (this can be changed if you had something else in mind)

Thanks, Dan! You're a lifesaver! :D

I am sure the moves are fine. Now I have to figure out this Hamachi situation. I'll post details in the Connections thread...

Can someone see if I am still logged in to Hamachi? Last time I went to bring it up, it treated me as a new user. Then when I tried to enter network, it told me "network seems to be full" and denied me access. I have re-installed Hamachi and still not getting anywhere....

Perhaps I need to be kicked out of Hamachi so I can re-enter?? If that's not the solution, then one of you may need to play my turns until this is resolved.
