When pressing the "Print screen" key a image of the screen is stored in the clipboard, the screen goes black and then Civ5 crashes.

This I have seen in both XP and Windows 7 and it is 100% repeatable.

Civ 5, version 1.0.0.62
=====================================
XP specs:

Core i7-870
4 GB Ram
Radeon HD 4980 2 GB
Realtek HD Audio
Windows XP SP 3
All drivers and Windows is updated.
Screen 1: 2560x1440 (Playing on this screen)
Screen 2: 1920x1200

=====================================
Windows 7 specs:
Core i7-920
Geforce GTX 480
Windows 7
Screen: 2560x1600 (Playing in DX11 mode)

Not sure about driver version. The machine is like 2 months old and was updated when installed, so drivers are pretty recent if not the latest version.
=====================================

Maybe it's an issue with the high screen resolutions in common for the two systems.

We've had lots of reports of odd behavior related to the prtscn key, but I don't recall any reports of outright crashes. You should definitely look for newer video drivers for your Windows 7 system. I got a new system last week, but the video drivers were dated back in January.

Try either of the following as workarounds:

(1) Instead of prtscn, use alt + prtscn.
(2) If running the game full screen, switch to running in a window.

For me, I had to use alt + prtscn in XP, but prtscn works in Windows 7 running the game in a window. However, my current screen resolution is 1920 x 1080, so perhaps your higher resolution is the culprit.

I did not have this crash BEFORE the 62/621 patch
I have XP - so should I try alt+prntscr...?

I didn't notice that this is an issue with the patch. Yes, try alt + prtscn and post what happens.

Also, if the problem persists, both of you please attach your DxDiag files. Thanks!
