Here is temporary headquarters for team 3.

Orders of Business
1. Choose a Team Name
2. Choose a List of 3 Civs we wish to be(in order of preference, also only 2 of the civs can be agricultural)
3. Choose a government and how the game is played(succession, or 1 elected DP)

I myself have no clue on team name, but I have some comments on civ chose:

It is almost guaranteed that the other 3 teams will be choosing militaristic civs with UUs in the ancient age...
So my idea would be to choose a civ with strong defensive unit in ancient age and long term potential
A good civ fitting this description is Greece, they have a strong UU, Hoplite, stats are 1.3.1 IRIC(It replaces the spearmen and pikemen, is as strong as a pikemen, and requires no iron)... Plus Greece is the king of science, so we could get ahead of the other civs in the middle ages and then take them out

I Will Be Gone for 4 Days Ending the 21st, so this post WILL be out of date until I get back
 
No Idea about the team name.

I think we should try and focus on the UU, rather than the specific traits. It is the UU that makes a good choice for a MP game. So here are my Civs.
Persia.
We have a Scientific and Industrious nation. Their UU is the Immortal 4/2/1. It is the most UU we can have so early. It is a MI, but cheaper.

Ottomans.
We have another Sci/Ind nation. Their UU is the Sipahi 8/3/3. It is the most powerful unit until we can get tanks.

Celts.
We have a Agr/Mil nation. There UU is the Gaellic Warrior 3/2/2. It is the best early fast moving UU.
 
Greece has a good UU IMO, not as good as the above but their bonuses easy make up for that.. Plus their UU requires no resources, which all of the above do

If we are to go for a defensive UU, then the Dutch are quite good. The Swiss Pikeman is the equal of a musketman. But I think that winning this game will mean that we need to get a good offensive UU.

The Hoplite owns the Swiss Merc... The Swiss mercenary only has 1 more defense, at the cost of iron, and feudalism... We can get the hoplite right away and it needs no iron

But the thing about offenseive UUs is that everyone else will be trying that idea, so why not have a strong defensive UU early in the ancient age... It doesn't need to be upgraded to pikemen.... And we can really own in science, part of the game is about diplomacy, and if we have lots of techs we can buy military alliances :D

Is your list Persia, Greece, Celts, Ottomans, Civ X? Decide on a team name too!

I have given a name for this team. I wonder if the others agree with it. BTW it is M.I.A. Missing In Action. That is what The other teams will be like when they face us. I'll Pm the other members of the teams for their input.

OK ... my thoughts

1. Team Name - MIA or maybe DOA (Dead on Arrival) ... just extending your theme C_H ;)

2. List of three civs ... I usually choose for traits scientific and religious being favs ... and I play defensive ... hmmm

3. Not sure what you mean can you give an example ... I am under the impression that we discuss here or PM or maybe even AIM and then the spokesman does the representative bit on the main game thread ...

Once all 4 teams give RegentMan and myself their team name and list of civ choices, TF has agreed to supply us with private forums to prevent cheating. The quicker the better!

PS: It's not like this info is private - the teams will know the map settings, your team name, the civ, etc, all when they start the game.
 
We also need to have some sort of agreement on these issues.
1) Who should be our UN representative for this team?

2) What should be the world size? Tiny, Small or Standard.

3) What type of map? Archipelago, Continents, or Pangea

4) What % of water is on the map? 60, 70, or 80

5) What level we should be playing on? Chieftain, Warlord, Regent, Monarch, Emporer, DemiGod, Deity, or Sid

6) What Climate should we be living in? Wet, Normal or Arid

7) What temperatur whould we have? Warm, Temperate, or :cool:

8) What age of the world? 3, 4, or 5 billion

9) What level of barbarian activity? None (no goody huts), Sedantry, Roaming, Restless, or Raging

10) Status of SoZ.
a. Do we want wan it in the game? Yes or no
b. If yes for 10a, then should it require Ivory? Yes or no
c. If yes for 10a, the what should it produce? Horsmen or Ancient Calvary
d. Any other changes for the SoZ? If yes state what.

11) Should we have Scientific great leaders? Yes or no
