Playing Gilgamesh on a couple of different resets now and having the same problem. Around turn 7-15, whenever I meet the second city state, I get a boost to writing. The popup window showing me the boost appears, but everything else disappears.
The map is there, but the entire UI goes missing. Map only, no controls.
I can get the main menu to pop up with Esc, but I can't save or load anything. All it will allow me to do is Return To Game or Exit (either to main menu or desktop). This is freaking annoying, and I can't seem to find anyone else with this problem anywhere on the internet.
