Tech rates and maps

Hello,

I have a quick question...can anybody give me a bit of help with editing the tech rates on maps? I am trying to edit the rates in the Editor, and it seems I can only edit the rates for random map sizes. Do I need to change one of the random map sizes with all the data I am using? I tried that, edited all 5 of the sizes, but the tech rate still stayed the same. Any advice? Thanks.

u need to change the value in the civilization advance tab... to edit those u need to enable custom rules first.
