Vote who you think would do the best job. This election runs for 72 hours.

CivGeneral
Provolution
Bootstoots
Epimethius

Me too! New blood in the Council. Vote Provolution.

I only hope that people read the campaign questions and compare them to the respective answers, and make a judgement on that, and not on by order of partywhippers.
Yet I am very thankful of all qualified support based on true objective criteria. :)

I am not going to partywhip one single person this election, if the people want me to be a minister, a deputy, or an ordinary citizen, it is the choice of the people. :)

I would like to emphasize a policy difference on Iron from the forum debate

The persians are dominating the west coasts, India is just south of them, Russia is in the north, and we are in the East. All of these nations share a common border except Russia and India. By strength, we are stronger than India, as strong as Russia, and weaker than Persia. We are rich in Horses and Iron resources along our Persian Border, while only India has the other Iron source seen on the map. Persia and Russia have large amounts of luxuries and Horses. Persia threatens us over Iron, What would you do?"

Bootstoots answer

I would probably give in to the iron demand. Yes, it is true that Persia would be then able to build Immortals, but if we didn't give in, they'd probably capture our cities and get iron for an indefinite amount of time anyway. I would then advocate that we build up our military during the 20 turns we are giving away iron. If we make it large enough, we could defend against attacks and be prepared to deny them iron in the future.

Provolutions answer

"2. In the knowledge that the Persians would develop Immortals with that iron, and that their present army only contains spearmen and archers at best, maybe some cheap cavalry, I would know that we are militarily superior as long as we can monopolize the iron. Yet, the answer would be to develop a proper deterrence of swordsmen, archers and spearmen, later pikemen on the border, with some culture to sustain the border cities. The strategy to win the war, would be to develop a shuttle between the Barbarian frontier, sharpening the troops there from regular to elite, and shuttle them to the Persian border, so we qualitatively achieve strategic supremacy on both military professionalism and weapons technology. The savage frontier would ensure us a steady source of reliable elite troopers, maybe even the occasional military or scientific leader evolving in these battles."

Make your own decision, this is still a close race, and every vote I get will be received with great thanks and the vestitude in the close cooperation with the people through necessary polls, hearings, press chats, reports and intelligence committe sessions.

Aaaah, debates in the Election Threads. I love it!

This policy answer right here is the reason I'm glad I voted for Provolution.

Not to worry...the people would never let us give Iron to the Persians anyway. ;)

Donovan Zoi

We are on the same page :) Also thanks to Cyc, Immortal, Nodoldan, Ankka, Sarevok, Blackheart, Falkon02 and all the other Civplayers that welcomes this new player :)

I forgot to do this during the nomination period, but I am dropping out of this race to focus on domestic. There are many more suited candidates, and I would like to say that I support Provolution, who seems like a promising new member.

Civ General gets my vote here. Perhaps it was the pleas for clemency (Although, I have no idea what went before.) But pleading in a FA is not a bad thing. It can make an adversary off his guard. Then the MA comes in and kicks some butt!

I urge all citizens who haven't voted yet to vote Bootstoots for experience in the office of Foreign Affairs. I have four terms under my belt as leader of the FA ministry. While I was in office, I never failed to post instructions, I asked the will of the people on all important matters. Heck, I was once so eager to start (Term 2 of last DG) that donsig PI'd me for it!

As the current Foreign Minister of CFC's PTW game and former Foreign Minister of other demogames, I fully support the election of Bootstoots.

Go Boots!

I am 29 years old, has a Master of Art in International Trade and National Security from real life in a top 10 US insitutions, with a pretty solid GPA, has worked internationally (IRL) in 6 countries, speak Japanese and has played CIV since 1992.
I have also read some of the Demogame logs in order to learn, but realized that some of those experiences need to be delearnt for the sake of democracy and strategy.

Yet, using lack of DG expereince against me after this election race, I consider pretty awkward, to be very honest.

What's does that have to do with anything? This is civ not real life. Boots is great with SPDG foreign affairs. He handles things well and gets into the spirit of the game like I do.

Well Zarn, we agree to disagree, and yes, I have read some of your work as well.

I support Provolution because I like his ideas for strengthening our power.

Cheers Blackheart

I liked your answers in the debates in the Miitary Advisor thread, if you followed up more in detail there, you would be in that race. Still we had four good candidates there, and both that are the likely candidates now are both good, a luxury problem.

Still if I manage this one, I may find you some interesting activity in the diplomacy/security field in our global expansion plan.
