I accept my nomination.
1. Should we get into early wars if it means we can eliminate neighbors?
Only if They can be quickly beaten or beaten without too much damage to our tech research and such.
2. Should we heavily trade or trade sparingly in hopes of slowing the global tech rate?
We should only trade if we can get a decent price, not selling techs for 10 gold.
3. Should we give in to harsh demands to keep the peace?
Only if the war would be costly to us and take a long time, if it's a small civ just acting up, we can assume that they won't declare war, and that even if they do, they will not pose to much a threat and we can gain some new territory.
4. Production targets: What is the appropriate target number of military units in relation to the "free unit support level" in the Ancient Age?
It depends. We should have at least one spearman on all cities, 2 on border cities, and a good number of warriors for exploration. We should try to keep from going to far over the support limit.
5. Exploration: How many units should be allocated for exploration?
About 3-4 warriors and 2 naval units to go each way is my usual number of exploration units.
6. Unit Mix: What is ratio of offensive/defensive/bombard units should we target?
We should have at least one spearman on all cities, 2 for border cities and capital. Then we should have as many offensive units as is needed at the time.
7. Military Improvements: How soon should we target Barracks?
I tend to only build barracks on cities that I know will be producing my military units, namely a border city with a lot of shield production or my capital.
8. Veteran Troops: What should our policy be on building "regular" troops?
