What shall we research after Sanitation?

Choices are:

Radio
Nationalism
The Corporation
Abstain

We can also have RP too. I think we should go for that first then Sanitation.To be honest I dont think there is much value in researching Sanitation at the moment. The purpose of Sanitation is to provide hospitals. However few of our cities are really in a position yet to build them because of other works in production
Since we know that Sanitation is only 4 turns away, perhaps we should go for RP first to get the worker boost.
 
The current science que is RP, followed by Sanitation. This poll is to determine what comes after Sanitation.

Sorry. I did not realise that was the situation. In that case Radio offers the best value for trading.
 
Of these three techs, Nationalism will be, for the most part, useless for us. The Infantry from Replaceable Parts will superceed the Rifleman from Nationalism. If fact, the only ability we could really use from Nationalism is Embargoes to slow our enemies down.

Radio doesn't give us much, and is a required tech only for Advanced Flight, which we are far from researching.

The Corporation opens up Refining and Steel, which lead to Combustion and the Destroyer. Refining will also reveal Oil on the map, needed for newer ships and other toys.

I believe The Corporation, followed by Refining should be our path. Let us determine if fair Fanatica is unable to supply us with any resources!

Research nothing; not even Sanitation. go for 0% sci and all tax (or some lux).

Reason: We are far ahead on the Electronics-branch. We can trade them away (after the US and HD finish) to get all techs and all gold and all resources we can. Why waste commerce on that ?

We can grow very rich and have all techs or we can have all techs slightly sooner and be poor.

No science at all !
 
Actually, Peri, the Corporation would be the best trade bait. This is because most techs won't even see us offering Radio; they will see us offering Atomic Theory or Electronics. Rival civs will have to own the prerequisite tech before they could even consider trading us for Radio.

Also, as much as I enjoyed the stint at 0% science, I think it would be a mistake to rest on our tech lead now. Besides, we really need RP and Sanitation.
 
The AI usually ignores Radio and takes the Corporation - Mass Production route. My thinking is that by taking the alternative route and go for radio we will have 3 techs (AT, Elec, Radio) that we can trade for either other techs that the AI has researched or gpt. Other nations are already researching corporation I expect so when they get it we can trade for it and not waste any turns.
That is what I have discovered from playing PTW but other peoples experience may be different.
 
Not a bad idea, Peri, although I do like the Oil-drilling mission proposed by our President.

Maybe after Refining we could try for Radio, and probably even get it in less time at that point. :)

Voted Corporation, will lead to best benefits.
 
Nationalism is pretty much useless to us right now. However I do see use in Communism and particularly Espianage. However I feel this could be better gotten via trade.

I voted Corporation, we must secure Oil and go for Tanks to ensure a military Dominance which will encourage others not to challenge our will. And to get a Modern Navy which will fend of foreign invasions if neccisary.
