Governor - One of the tactics in corrupt cities is to irragate everything, and use all scientists/taxmen (I perfer scientists if we want 4-turns-per-tech).

Update: I have updated the tc instructions. i know they arent very creative, but all the cities either have extremely large corruption or are very small.

Please comment on them

The idea is, that corruption and waste take away all the production and commerce. Thus as few people as possible work tiles, the rest are made into specialists (scientists, taxmen), because their commerce is exempt from corruption.

Prime example: Russak.
All but 1 shield and 1 commerce is lost. But it consumes -3 commerce for maintenance.
Thus the total is -2 commerce per turn.

But if you irrigate and rairoad the cattle, you have 2 tiles each producing 5 food. Together with the 2 food from the city center, a population of 6 is stable.

Thus you can create 4 taxmen/scientists giving +4 commerce from the city. And you sell the barracks giving 5 g saving maintenance 1gpt maintenance. Now the total is +3 commerce per turn.

Difference: +5 commerce per turn. :goodjob:

Do this for 10 cities, and Fanatica has +50 commerce per turn.

thanks for explaining it, i will edit my propsed instructions after i post the map

@TimBentley- which city?
After building courthouses many places in this province will be building culture buildings and a few troops- but this will be a while
@tao I am a little reluctant to sell anything right now, but i will consider it.

about me changing many build queues: many cities were building temples which wont help much, since we have close to enough luxs to keep all cities happy.

right now i have a huge school project due tomorrow, so i wont be able to do anything else tonight:(

 Tao and I are agreeing again! What's wrong with me? ;)

BTW, this is a very powerful strategy in C3C, since taxmen give 2 gold, and scientists give 3. :)

Fellow Governor,

congratulations to your appointment. Besides supplying our military with the necessary units, one of our main tasks will be to fight corruption, which is running rampant in Fanatika. This should be stopped as much as possible. Based on my experience, I made 2 post I would like to bring to your kind attention. I hope you find them useful and in your efforts to make Fanatika less corrupt.

I have updated the instuctions to put many taxmen in cities but keep them from starving... I will post the instructions in a few minutes... Please comment on them b4 wednesday.

Governor, I looked at your instructions and your queue proposals. But I am not very confident that it is possible to reduce corruption in most of the cities. :(

Here is my assessment. Of course, the decisions are yours.

Camelot: Switch to Courthouse
I'm not sure it will help. We will see once we have pop 6 and wltkd.

Grindelwald: Stay on Courthouse, then Factory
I would mm Grindelwald like this:

and trigger wltkd. And ask the DP to cut the forest and build railroaded mines instead! I NEVER build factories in cities with so few shields; better to build a market for happiness. Then we can get rid of the clowns.

Desseche: Switch to Courthouse
and mm for wltkd! I have little hope however.

Steal Rubber: Switch to Granary
here I would build the temple for culture expansion

Brieux: Switch to Courthouse
hopeless

Happy City: Keep as Courthouse
no;courthouse will not help; build temple to get access to whale

Russka: Switch to Courthouse
little hope

Jedina: Switch to Granary
Arterus: Switch to Granary
Broussard: Switch to Granary

I am not in favour of granaries. If we just want to get more people, IMHO it is better to build settlers and cram as much pop 6 cities in as possible.

happy city and steal rubber i will switch to a temple, and will change grindelwald's factory to market, but for evertyhing else i will look at save first

I need a Lt. Governor, if anybody is new to the demogame this is a great position to start off with. Prefferably someone who has enough time to get the stats on cities as I am very busy with school. (Only 12 more days of school tho:) )

The new TC instructions are up, plz comment.
Also Grindelwald is now the capital of Burgundy!

I would like to apply for a position in your province to gain experience in the democracy game. I am sure I could uphold the duty of bringing corruption to a minimum in this fine territory.

I have a flag that you could use

In my original plan it symbolizes the balance between science and production, which are the most important aspects of the game. :king:
