Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Did you see?

I only watched the first one, the one made in the 70`s. It was by Tobe Hooper. I did not watch the sequels or re-makes.

The new one was the single worst thing I have ever witnessed in any media, and that may include Gigli (which I didn't see, but I'm sure it was bad).

I watched the movie for free because they previewed it in my University (figure it can't hurt since I didn't have to pay $10 for it). I was wrong, it still hurts me to think I wasted my time on that movie.

Im not going to fall over myself to see it because it probably wont!:(

I watched the first one the other day for the second time, the new one could never capture the same manic atmosphere, much the same as Psycho in colour just wasnt the same.

@ stratego: Aaaargh! when will it stop, first planet of the apes, then this:mad: Oh and The Ring. Make some NEW films director-type people!

Hollywood will shoot the re-makes until the world ends. And as you said they are not any good. I do not remember a single re-make that was good. I think when I reach my 60s I will watch the re-make of Fight Club, Snatch, 28 Days Lter and so on...

The next project is Creature From the Black Lagoon.

I didn't even realise they'd remade the thing. I think I was happier in that earlier state of ignorant bliss, too :ack:

The second version of "The Ring" was actually quite good. It toned the horror down to a sustainable level for persons as easily frightened as myself. I got the original from a friend, and I still cant watch more than the first 20 minutes or so. Not even during daylight.

But the rest of the remakes are quite crappy.
