Nice, simplistic view of the world, weimar_republic.
It is refreshing to see someone blaming everybody else (society) for the problems of the world instead of looking at themself first.

NO ONE should feel like that. I have heard stories about this indian kid in BC that killed himself, hoping to change things... nothing happened... this girl in BC that killed herself, hoping to change things... nothing happend... what will it take? I can tell you. it will take millions and millions to kill themselvs for something to happen. we cant wait that long, we cant let them die! NO! these people that feel this way should unite against the world. the would should include everyone, and if it did there wouldent be these thoughts. the problem is not with the person, but with the sociaty that created him. the american culture is the most major offender. thats why I, and MANY MANY others, like usuma bin laden, HATE the united states. I like americans. they are nice people, I have friends who are americans. I like the government of the USA to a degree. I have noting against you {reading this} as an american. what I DO have against is the american culture, that you must wear tommy hifigure to be cool, that you must go around and have 100% total confidence to achive anything. {like everyone tellimg me that 'chicks dig confidence' or 'be yourself'} what ever happened to people helping those who are feeling down? its all gone in american cultuire. OK, its getting better, but there is still a long way to go. its not only american culture, there are MANY others. if it wasent for these feelings there would be no school shootings. why did they kill those people? to change things... did anything change? NO! the only way I can see anyhting happening is for all of these people to unite and demand change. 6 million people marching on the UN would surely change something.
anyways, my point is that its not the person that is at fault, it is the culture that created them.

This is very close to my own personal beliefs, Dreadhead. The biggest thing that I have learned in my life is that you can't look to others for your self-worth. Those feelings have to come from within. Those folks who thought that killing themselves or killing others would change things were sadly mistaken. There are too many folks who led horrible lives, but looked within and changed themselves, then proceeded to change the world for the better. There are certainly millions of folks who went through hardships and emerged as good people. They didn't feel the need to make other people's lives miserable simply because they were. Yes, there are some societal wrongs that make it hard for some, but the answer is not to wallow in self-pity, because as long as human societies exist, there will be injustice. The answer is to look within, and take positive steps to make things better, if not for others, then, at least for oneself.

IMO, suicide is the most cowardly, selfish thing that a person can do. It hurts the people who love you far more than it hurts the person who kills him/herself. It's the chicken-**** way out. And threatening to do it just to get attention is just plain stupid.
