The 325 Ad Crash Bug

so what is happening to me so far is that I can play the game JUST fine, however the game crashes to Desktop with no error logs, popups, or even forewarning of something going wrong as soon as hit the year 325 AD during a 'normal' paced game.

Other afflicted gamers are:

Are you a affected by this? do YOU know any ways to fix our plight?

This wasn't happening until I updated to 1.61 to do some LAN play, but now its 100%. Every time I try to load the autosave, or to play back through, the instant the year hits 325AD, it crashes. And it crashes fast, like, task-manager end-process fast. no warning or anything.

yea i actually reinstalled the game and didn't update to 1.61. and it seems to be running fine. a lot laggier. but its at going past 325AD.

And it crashed exactly like that for me as well. no warning signs, no error popups or logs. just.. BOOM crash to desktop.

I have a little more info now, I went into my autosaves, and tried loading other games id played before updating to 1.61. Every single one after the year 325AD instantly crashes. Any from before 325AD load just fine. This includes a game I had been playing less than an hour before updating to 1.61.

I think I'm going to uninstall everything, reinstall and find the 1.52 patch, everything worked fine when I was ruinning that version.

Men all of you have a cracked copy you can't play the game with 1.61 patch

i have a no-cd patch. but that doesn't mean i obtained the game illegally. do you want a picture of me holding the box or something

yea it could be, i'll try to update it and run it without my "CD saving program"and seeif it'll let me play beyond 325AD (after my gf is done playing her game)

Man i have said only that the problem was the crack and you can't solve it unless you uninstall 1.61

This has been discussed a lot. Dodgy copies or legitimate copies that use a no cd crack or virtual cd program will not work. Most people report the problem as being only able to play 10 turns...I'm suprised you get as far as you do.

Playing 1.61 with the CD should be fine.

Can you start the game up with the CD, then remove it?

Yes starting game and then removing CD works.

ok for some reason i cant play a custom game however i can play any normal or scenario games im looking for an answer to y this is srry bout where i posted but idk where else to post
