The Age of Reformation (Version 2.0)

I suggest to update your mod file in Civilization II Downloads section with all for bugfixes, so users don't need to download the fixes one by one. Also not every user sees the fixes in this thread.

I'm finally getting around to this scenario. It's great so far - I'm only up to Jan. 1516 and playing as the French. After one false start, I devised a new strategy. Instead of attacking Milan, which was my first instinct, I withdrew into Genoa and let the Papal army come to me. After destroying it piecemeal, I moved on Milan and captured it after the 10 turn war period with the independents expired. Thus I was able to make peace and avoided the English counter-attack. So far, so good.

I'm certainly enjoying it. The graphics are excellent, as in all your scenarios. It could sure use a Readme though. If you'd like me to edit the English grammar, I'd be happy to do so.

Good to hear that you like the scenario.

Depending on your choices later in game you will have to face with strong resistance during the French Wars of Religion.
If you have more than 250 ducats in your treasury the 'Jaques Cartier' event will fire between January 1529 and January 1544, which will give you a first colony in North America. Getting into a more or less peaceful relationship (event driven choice option) with the Natives will encourage nearby cities joining your colony later in game. Forming the Viceroyalty of New France by conquering all cities in North America which where part of historical New France will give you a bonus of 2500 ducats once.

Attached you will find the readme, which I made for the scenario. It indeed needs an update as it is written very poor.
I would be happy if you could proofreading the text files. I'm afraid there are a lot of grammar mistakes.

Hey, civ2units, I just noticed your map is has 234×209 tile coordinates. Which means it has 48906 tiles, putting it well above Civilization 2 map size limits. Am I reading this correctly? If so, what tools did you use and how? Can you share the map file, since Mercator's MapEdit won't read it from the scenario (or the save file)? Also, what's the real coordinate / map size limit?

Hello Nightgoblin,
please find attached the map file. I've found it on Apolyton years ago, though I don't know the designer of the map.
