Well, hang in there. Chances are that in future rounds, some of the earlier challenges will be variants of the original challenges, meaning that what you learn in earlier rounds can be applied to future rounds.

Unfortunately I don't have my previous games (never saved), only autosaves from the last one.
I know that I would have finished around 4th place after the 1st round (the 4 challenges before the elimination)

In this round:

The 1st one: Finished in 50BC. Fall into several traps, and started to build a settler in my city way too late. Eventually settled my second city on the coast, and sailed a few tiles west from there, where the goal was really close.
Still, lost too many turns before I realized sailing was the way to go

The second one was totally perfect for my style
The map was given by Yoshi, it was sure you can get at least 2 holy cities, and the capital was at a very good settler spamming place.
Also, anarchy free switches (trait) means huge bonuses from slavery and chopping.
So it only needed a couple minutes of planning, and voila.
Funnily enough, I didn't even used whipping much, and still got both the Stonehenge and the Great Wall in my capital

I don't think there is such big difference between spoiler tags and thumbnails on this forum
Nothing is really shown (the thumbnail is way too small), and if someone want to cheat in this game it's only one click either way

Having said that, I will of course put the thumbnail into the spoiler
If the game rules are this way, who am I to break them?
