The Amazing Race: An Interactive Gameshow

You may only use 1 of the 2 boats.

I may have to call a foul on myself.

Spoiler :
When I initially read this, I thought it meant that we couldn't "galley chain" the Marine from the Galleon to the Transport, thus saving several tiles (3 up and 3 back) of movement points for the Transport on T0. So, I used the Galleon to scout ahead of the Transport, which had to moved back three tiles to pick up the Marine. The Transport quickly caught up to the Galleon, so I only got about 5 turns use out of the Galleon advanced scouting trick.

So, technically I did use both boats but my Marine was only ever on one of them.

I await your ruling, most humble, lenient and merciful Yoshi! :mischief:

Finished!

For people who have finished only!
Spoiler :
Yeah, I only thought about that after I put the save. Smart players would have caught that and used that trick ;)

Since I like updating OP's, I've updated Post #3. It has important information, like how many rounds are left in the episode :)

Oh yeah, and your allowed to look at other peoples stuff when your done. Just don't go and update your completion post! Otherwise it might be a sign of cheating :p

3 People Left to Finish

Can you post a leaderboard of who had got the fastest time so far?

3440 BC :So that's second place for me :) (if I could actually play all the rounds...)
Ah, and I checked something - (OFYE)
Spoiler :
Taking the galleon is stupid.
If you go as fast as possible, it will take you until 3580 BC to arrive in Cape Town.

I'd spoiler that.

No problem :)

So, did anyone use 2 boats? For example, am I allowed to use the second boat for scouting purposes?

Can the "Player" unit be on two different boats at different times, as long as there is only ever one unit on a boat somewhere? I.e. Can the "Player" unit get onto one boat and then get off of that boat and then get onto the other boat?

Am I allowed to rename units... in particular, renaming a Navy SEAL to have the name "Player"? :mischief:

The first bit: Mitchum did that, but I'm not sure what Yoshi's actual decision on it was
The second bit: Not allowed.
The third bit: Ask Yoshi, but probably no.

You can use the second boat for scouting purposes (like Mitchum did).
No idea about the second one :s

And the third one
But perhaps Yoshi allows it, because it involves 'thinking outside the box'.

Also, is there anything preventing me from loading THREE Navy SEALS onto the boat that I choose?

Further, does Cape Town still have to be standing or can I still win if my Navy SEAL stands on its former location after I raze the City?

Since it sounds like using the second boat for scouting purposes might or might not be ruled as being questionable, I won't do it. A strict interpretation of the rule could imply that as long as you don't have the "Player" unit using both boats, you are free to do whatever you want with the other boat (including scouting), but I will not try to be a stickler and will just use the one boat.

2. Um.... what?

Bleh Double Post.

Rename your city Cape Town!

Spoiler The Results (For Yoshi's eyes and I guess for everyone else's eyes who has already completed the challenge or are just lurking) :
I only moved 1 boat and I did not rename the "Player" unit.

I seemed to dodge what looked like two traps of Peaks but fell for one of the traps.

In fact, I got trapped by the winding narrow path of Peaks and sent my original Player unit right to the end of the trap, where he got off of the boat and walked towards Cape Town.

As he got close to Cape Town, the boat finally made it back around the Peaks to pick him up.
