• The Favelas of Rio de Janeiro: +2 in all cities on the same continent. This city can generate only one type of great person: a ‘great footballer’ who has no effect on gameplay.
  
• Pompey’s Villa of the Mysteries: increases chances of volcanic eruption. (BTS only)
  
• World Trade Center: increases chances of terrorist attack. (BTS only)
  
• Alcatraz Island: reverses the effects of jails.
  
• Auschwitz Lager: removes Judaism from all cities on the same continent (apologies for the bad taste).
  
• Titanic’s Voyage: all ships lose one movement point.
  
• Toppled Statue of Lenin: disables the Communism civic.
  
• Toppled Statue of Saddam Hussein: you lose access to oil resources.
  
• The Intranet: grants your technologies to all the other civilizations.

Not that I am expert on the subject, an certainly don´t want to startle you on the subject, because your opinion is quite obvious. But as a European very interested on what´s going in the french campaign for presidency, I am getting confused. It sounded more like you were describing the effects of socialist party member as the head of the government.
Working 35 hours a week, would definitely multiply expenses and threaten income.
I don´t remember who passed the law though.
