The Anti-Wonders of the World

The Cold War: Major powers must build huge amount of units and nukes, but are not allowed to use them except against small backward nations (not nukes).

Brad and Angelina -10%, drains one pop from an African or Asian civ each turn.

And yet, he was reelected just 2-3
Genocide---20% population in all your cities. Guaruntees eligibility for "UN Human Rights Commission Chairmanship." )If UN Human Rights Commission reform is passed, Genocide guaruntees eligibility for "UN Human Rights Council chairmanship."

I don't understand the humor on this one UN human rights.
Canadian Louise Arbour is the commissioner and i think she is doing a great job.

World Bank. -5% :commerce: in 3 civs with highest :commerce: but no gain in others.
Common Agricultural Policy. -5% :gold: in civ with most :hammers:, transferred to other civ with most farms. Requires Open Borders (see below).
Open Borders. -1 Worker per turn from weaker civ, appears as +1 population in random city in stronger civ, which gets -1:health: . Applies to every pair of civs with Open Borders.

Fawlty Towers: +100% :gold: in Torquay, +6  due to Basil's rudeness, -10% :culture: from his social-climbing attempts. Effect doubled if built in America.

New Techs from the 'Technological Regress Tree':

  • Phlogiston: delays discovery of Combustion.
  • Epicycles: delay discovery of Astronomy.
  • Homeopathy: leads to Chiropractics and Faith Healing. Enables the ‘Alternative Medicine’ Promotion: the unit will ‘believe’ that it is fully healed even when in fact it is not.
  • Polywater: all your scientists are busy investigating the properties of this newly discovered substance – in game terms: academies and specialists produce no research for 5 turns.
  • Literary Criticism: takes you into the ‘Post-Modern Era’ and leads to Deconstructionism. All cities with universities have increased maintenance cost.
  • Lysenkoism: requires Communism. Delays discovery of Genetics.
  • Voodoo: First to discover receives a 'Zombie General'. This can be attached to any unit to reduce to zero the unit’s withdrawal chance.
  • Cold Fusion: enables construction of 'Fake SS Engine'.
  • Luminiferous Ether: this may actually be useful as there is a chance that a great scientist called ‘Albert Einstein’ appears to disprove its existence.
  • New Age: you lose all modern technologies.
  • Vista: the game instantly crashes.

Cold Fusion: enables construction of 'Fake SS Engine'.

I love the Fake SS Engine. :goodjob:

All you need is a wonder that provides +2 Great Charlatan production. Great Charlatans can lightbulb the other new "techs" or, if settled, reduce research.

World War III: The game starts all over again. OR Every civ goes back into Ancient Age reduced to their two starting techs but they retain every Wonder, building, Project, and unit they ever built.

World War IV: NEEDS World War III to be built. Every civ goes to war against each other for the rest of the game and the research slider disappears from the game!

Beyond the Sword Website - "Beyond the Sword Website" takes only two turns to complete, regardless of the :hammers: within the city. The turn immediately before completing "Beyond the Sword Website" a large, yellow-colored and all-caps block of text appears slightly below the middle of your screen "OFFICIAL WEBSITE COMING SOON". When this happens, add a turn to the amount of time it takes to complete "Beyond the Sword Website", regardless of the city's :hammers:.

These are wonders, I tell you.
  • Internet Pornography: +1  for every :religion: in each city

But gain +100% production of Great Scientists named Gregory House!
