The Best of the Best

I'm going to change PCs and while I was at it I thought I would burn a few CDs into a perm collection of the Best of the Best of MGE. Trouble is many of those on my hard disk might not be the latest version.

Please make suggestions (only stuff that is good by today's standards, not classics which were good five years ago) as to what to include, please also confirm the version number and hwere it can be downloaded (yes please suggest your own scenarios by all means).

Even though there is a version 1.5, I think Red Front v1.4 would be better. Sorry Colwyn.

That weird blob scenario in the downloads section not only was it really funny and colourful it was great to play and very origional.

If a put down a few, the designers of those not included who post here will lose what little tolerance for my presence in this forum they had...so I'd prefer not.

Of course, if you posted an anonymous poll listing them all then I can vote for the ones I think deserve not to be wiped from your hard drive into electromagnetic eternity without troubling my conscience any.

Great idea, koby - if you want the latest from my creations, check out my section at CDG (link in my sig). The Armada scen is the latest version, with no updates in the works at this moment.

However, there's an update of Hammer v2 in the making (which solves a few of the problems raised by the on-going pbem - most notably the feared 'king-respawning' issue), which I haven't put up yet - but I'll put up the updated files quite soon.

only those two scenarios (Hammer & Armada) at CDG site. DIdn't you have other stuff (I know you gave up on the Africa project, was the Reinessance project a bust too?)

Not exactly - it was the groundwork that made the Armada scen and Hammer v2 update possible. But as a generic patch, I never came around to packaging it up, since I kept making changes...

I definitely will - noticed the extraordinary reviews by the playtesters, and looking forward to taking a closer look
