preferrably based on one of the first two pictures, I like that headdress and think it would be pretty distinct

Nice list. I am particularly interested in Nasser, Askia, Clovis, Ogedei, Tamerlane, and Nehru. I wouldn't mind a new Abbas either. (If you did make Abbas, I'm not sure why an Ismail would be needed as well, but that's Mamba's request not mine.)

Brings me to something I meant to ask. Since we have Iran and Persia, when will the split occur?
I know Iran didn't become the commonplace name for it till 1935.

Probably more appropriate for the Mod thread but I can answer that here. I haven't really decided what to do about Iran in the mod. I might not include it, although in its current form it has Khomeni and Ahmedinejad as the leaders so I don't see how there is a conflict between the two civs in the historic sense since both leaders are post-1935. Also Madman made an awesome flag/button for Iran (the lion with sword) and I have two different flavor sets I can use (Bakuel's for Persia and Danrell's for Iran). So I think I'll probably wind up keeping it in the final mod. The Iranian civ is a more modern civ (the UU is the Revolutionary Guard for example, and its leaders are both modern Muslim leaders) compared to the Persian civ which has mostly pre-islamic leaders and flavor units (well except for Abbas now). To me its nearly the same as having Rome and Byzantium in the same game.

Although I suppose I could include Abbas as an Iranian leader and have three leaders for each. That isn't important right now.

Pacal. Same small face.

If you are following my mod's thread at all you have probably already seen these images. But I like to keep people posted on what I am doing so I can get suggestions/ideas as I make the LHs. So here are a couple of images of my WIPs.

This first one is my first mock-up of Ptolemy Soter for Egypt. I attempted a mixture of a Hellenic look with Egyptian influence on it. The color will be Ramasses' collar, except that instead of being colorful it will be gold and black, his armor will be colored brown/leather with gold trim and I am going to give his shirtsleeves "egyptian style" trim around them. He'll probably also have Egyptian looking armbands, but I haven't figured that part out yet. What do you think?

This second one is the head of Clovis I. I didn't want to base it on renaissance or late middle-ages pictures because I think they are a bit anachronistic, not to mention I am replacing the HRE with the Franks in my mod so I wanted an LH that had a Frankish war-chief look to him. So this is what Clovi's head will look like. I colored it in a bit because it looked weird without the coloring.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated for either LH. Thanks.

Clovis is looking good so far. Also, egyptian arm bands on Ptolemy make sense.

I worked on Ptolemy's texture a bit, so this is a much better example of what the LH will look like. You think this is good or are there any suggestions anyone has? Anyone know what his hair color was? I just went with a dark color because I thought it'd probably look better but if he had different colored hair I could go with that obviously.

Of course, Capo, if you want to be lazy, you could use Ekmek's Aminah as Sheherazade, even though she might be a legend.

And of course, as long as you don't plan on making the Hausa (Ekmek has a black version to be used as Amina Zazzua).

Well, I have already started on this one. Maybe another time, although its doubtful I'll do a second version of Ptolemy.

I know, but I usually do the texturing last, so by then there is no point in showing the LH in Blender since its ready to be uploaded by then.

I see I usually texture in blender by reloading the texture.in edit mode on 2.49 when you move the dots you can see how it distorts the texture so i adjust accordingly.
