Darn, no votes for the Franks. Charlemagne is one of my favorite leaders in antiquity. Byzantines and Austria scored pretty high, though, so I'm not totally bummed.

Thats not a legitimate 'civilization'...though I do wonder what special building a society of Jews would have.

I kinda agree with someone before me who stated that nations younger than 100 years shouldnt be included in the poll.

Yeah, it is a joke (but most people seems to buy it). Ancient Israel ruled area something like a stamp, and most of the time they were vassal state or client kings of other real civilizations, like Assyria, Egypt, Babylonia, Persia etc. Nowadays Israel is basically some kind of vassal state of USA. Israel would be my 100th choice for a new civilization.

I think in people's minds Israel have some kind of special status because of religion. But we already have that religion in game, and that should be enough. There are much better choices for new Civilizations. The game is already too focused on European-Mediterrean area and culture.

And please don't claim that I'm anti-Israel. That's ad hominem argument is just bullfeathers.
