The City 5 and Horses Issue

    That's what I meant - depending on where iron shows up, we might change our mind as to where to put the city, not that we need iron.

    Ok - sounds like we should vote for where we want it, with the caveat that we may need to revote when we find iron.

    That's a fair point, we'll have from the end of turn 71 (maybe turn 70) until the start of our next turn to discuss it.

    Well, if by decide you mean accepted that it's the best site to settle next, then I think so. People have had the past three weeks to give valid reaons for different city sites.

    Currently the CDP is set up for yellow (well, I need to update it after t79, I found a better way to do it). Yellow is a pretty important city, the way the sims look it's the best city for getting our first GS in (I think we get it shortly after 1AD, around t117, fastest one I've run so far) and it's also the best city for teching until we get that barb city replanted (JD isn't actually anywhere near close as a science city, but JD is the reason we can spam cities all over the place. Later on in the game when we can turn up the slider then JD will be awesome...but right now it isn't all that special, but it makes it very interesting for where to make academies as the Awesome city site, Horse and JD are all deserving of academies...)

    As an aside, I think by t106 it can be size 9 (maybe size 10 a turn or so later) working 5 specialists (size 10 also works the horse, though that depends on health...needs to wait until rice or corn is hooked), with a lib (better lib that forge IMO, it shaves at least 2 turns off the GS) which is 37.5 bpt from that city alone, right about the time when FC gets shifted over to all coastal tiles while growing (which is another 25 base commerce that lets us go from making about +10 gold at 0% to being able to afford another couple of cities (Red, Awesome, possible Moai etc) AND teching half decently).
