Why are there so many left-libertarians in here?!

I'm assuming demographics. Most of us here are probably somewhere between 16-30 and young people tend to be more liberal, and apparently especially libertarian since the vast majority are below the y axis. There might also be some kind of correlation between countries/geographical regions. The 5 Aussies/Kiwis lean left and libertarian (with the exception of JFD who's right on the y axis), every Brit except Viregel is in the bottom left corner, both Danes are leftist as are the 3 Dutchmen, although to varying degrees. Interestingly enough, the Eastern Europeans lean center-right, except for Nix who's the most authoritarian so far. Another interesting thing is that both Brazilians lean right-libertarian while the non-Brazilian South Americans lean left-libertarian. Also, if you wanted evidence to the claim that Cubans are more conservative than most South and Central Americans you can see my point close to the center, and I used to be on the right side of this grid too. Every American so far is libertarian leaning at least so that's another interesting thing you can derive.

Obviously these are very small sample sizes and I'm extrapolating far beyond any borders that I should, but those are just some interesting things that I've noticed so far about how nationalities and ethnicities share some characteristics.

It certainly is interesting to see how groups seem to have those similarities discussed above - I suppose national experience comes into it to a varying degree.
