I like this idea (the first part, anyway). I don't have any problem with the infinite-move of rails, but it would be a nice touch to have two different transportation options, requiring different resources. It would even be okay if they were exactly the same: essentially, Motorized Transportation would allow you to build RRs even if you didn't have iron & coal, as long as you had rubber & oil instead (they wouldn't really be RRs, they'd be highways). Of course, different graphics would also be a nice touch, but whatever.Originally posted by MattII
There should be the option of railroad (iron, coal) or highway (rubber, oil) as a long range transport system. Railroad IMO should be limited to 15 squares/move and highways to 10 squares/move, but highway would be quicker to build than railroad because the terrain doesn't have to be so flat.
