The cossacks conversion collection

I've redone the Highlander (Scottish swordsman) and the Turkish warrior. I've redone the sizing, the centering, palette conversion with civ color, added a default animation and an ini file, referencing standard sounds.

I'm not 100% happy with the highlander, it seems a part of his coat was also in the smole :(.

Next, I'll redo all the cavalry with correct resizing and centering.

I will not do the Polish and Austrian Grenadier, except if someone volunteers to do the cut n paste part : to much work with all my other projects.

Two new dragoons (English and Spanish), and 3 updated (Piemontese, Swedish, Polish).

Centering OK, size scaled with infantry (8% reduction from originals), civ colors for all except Swedish. Default = 1 frame (previous one were to jumpy).
Everyone has attack, default, death, fidget, victory, fortify and run.

INI included with links to the cavalry

Wrong link for Swedish hussar.

But thanks for the others !

I will do the two remaining grenadiers when I am finsihed with my two current ones.

Er, no, the link for the Swedish Hussar still ain't workin'.

I really wanted a dragoon with civ colors and even though one seems to be on the "to do" list in collection #2, I decided to try some palette-editing just for the fun of it. (I know, I am weird)

So I picked the Polish 17c Dragoon because he a) looks good and unique, b) has an easy color scheme to work with.

And here's the result. Because of the large amount of civ color, he looks a bit girly with the more feminine civ colors, but overall I'm pretty happy with him. It includes all the files the original Polish Dragoon has and I haven't changed the animations one bit. Like I said, it's just palette editing.

Polish 17c Dragoon with civ colors

No animated preview, just him with several civ colors.

You are truly an artist! Keep 'em coming....

I will try to post my PCX files (for Civpedia and units_32) that I made for your units.

I am not. Shaun Baddog Flectcher made these units, GSC Game World Company made the units in the two other thread.

I'm simply converting them.

I downloaded some of your units and added them to my mod. However, every time I click on one of your AC units in the build marquee, the game instantly crashes. Other units that I have downloaded from this site (such as those made by wyrmshadow, ripptide, utahjazz, BeBro ect.) work fine. I don't know what could be causing the crash and I would realy love to get these units to work. (I use Windows xp home ed., ge-force card, have 512 megs of RAM, athlon AMD 2200 procesor).

Dont be so eurocentrized. EXTREMELY interesting units should be made. There are enough euro-units, but the middle east is being grately underappreciated.

Greetings

ps: Your units are absolutely wonderfull! Thanks for everyting.

Steph, I saw you started another project (CTP). Does that mean you're not gonna finish the Cossacks?

Don't worry, I've not abaondonned Cossack. But for Cossack and CTP, I will mainly convert units that I will need for the complete version of Steph's mod. So I will do the Saxon guard, to use as German cuirassier, but I will not do the Saxon grenadier (as I already have the Prussian Grenadier as flavour unit for Germany), except if someone does the copy & paste.

Same for CTP, I will mainly convert units which are needed for a mod.
