So whats the difference between someone who is merely "good" and someone who is "great". How do you define the difference between the two?

To me is that good people are respected and liked but great people are admired and remembered.

Which you would you rather be?

Words like "Good" and "Great" seem to indicate that one can easily sum up the collective worth of an individual, something that I find dubious.

Good is above average. Great is so far above average that they cannot even be compared.

True. I'm suprised at such a serious comment from you here. I expected something like "Good and great are both mere anthills against the monolith of Perfection :smug:"

Well, I could've made that comment, but really what would it communicate? Everyone already knows the truthfulness of it.

Good people give you cheese.

Great people give you lots of cheese.
You must admire some pretty cheesy people.

I can't say I know what is great but I do know...

"War does not make one great" -- Yoda. A great man... or whatever he is.
