The End of RiFE

That is not the intent, actually, much as I enjoy teasing. The intent is just to let people know that it IS being fixed, that their complaints are being addressed, and we're working on it. 1.3 is a LARGE patch, so it's taking some time; Nothing we can do about it, as we don't make money from this.
Would it help if I promised to give you a dollar on completion of RiFE?

ok, open a paypal account and add a button :)
You'll be rich !

Or a Flattr account. ;)

Seriously, though, I have a feeling that would bring on legal actions from the publisher/developer.

So, um, when's it coming again? A few days?.. A week?.. Did anyone see the South Park where Cartman froze himself so he didn't have to wait for the Nintendo Wii to come out...

Buyed a really BIG used kryogenic tank on ebay a few minutes ago. Will link it to the forum here, key-word: 1.3 ready, download stabile version here... See ya soon (2020 or so:lol:)

Greez:D

It wouldn't, not unless they started actually selling it.

And even then they'd probably just get a C&D letter (which is more of threat of legal action).

That being said, we're getting far to serious about that one.

Much better to write your own game engine. As I am finding out, it is not really that hard (the idea part is the hardest - plenty of programming for dummies books available). Thankfully as a dedicated gamer (computer and pen and paper) I have lots of ideas to draw upon. If only it didn't take forever to program a fully functional game engine...

designing maybe quite difficult, but coding is not the hard part nor slow, it's rather quick - It is the initial debugging, optimising and why-the-f***-it's-not-working part what is slow and PITA.

not mentioning later debugging and balancing as you are getting feedback from players

Had we one or two graphists, we could perhaps try coding our own game engine :p
