Hey how do come up with names for landmarks on the map like the Brumal river?

First I think of an adjective that describes the thing (in the case of the Brumal River: "Cold" or "Frozen") Then I do one of two things:

1. Look for that adjective in another language like German, or Latin.
2. Look for an english word that means the same thing but that nobody ever uses (Brumal is a never-used english word for "winter-like")

Then I might move some letters here and there to make it easier to pronounce
