The game crashes to desktop after loading

The game crashes to desktop after loading and several seconds before I see only unopened map. Without mod everything is OK.

Could be this:

• If the game crashes or fail to load a map and you have some special characters in your windows user name, try to delete my mod then extract the latest version directly in the "..\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\Scenarios" folder. Note that this is a workaround and should not be used to install mods once a patch has resolved the issue.

Alternatively, remove the downloaded version and subscribe to the steam version.

I have a non steam version of Civ. I have to buy Civ in steam and use your steam version of mod. Is it the only way?

This site has a strict policy about piracy, if you have the Mac Store version then you may get help about installing mods in the Mac section.

Else do not post anything about illegal versions of the game.

As Gedemon said, the only legal non-Steam version of Civ VI is the Mac App Store. I play using the Mac App Store version. Otherwise, please don't discuss anything here, as piracy is condemned.
