The German War - The Objectives

My war goal: Total control over our continent (IE no more Germany or Rome).

My war goal: only Mongolia can stay on this continent (no Germans, no Romans,
no barbs).

Best regards,

I am not going to mention war goals right now.

But as warlord, I would like a short period in history where we use vassalage, and produce all the units we need to win the war quickly. 15-20 turns would to (equivalent of two turnchats). The promotions will be very useful.

This discussion is now to be polled, I will include the same options as previously, and I suggest we keep the Romans out of this poll for now, to avoid complicating things.

Since we already polled this, and there were no complaints on the options, I will now poll simply the continuation of the war with the troops we have at our hands vs. merely defending Berlin.

Options:

1. Negotiate PEace (No offered techs)
2. Defend Berlin only
3. Conquer Cologne only
4. Conquer Dortmund only
5. Conquer Cologne and Dortmund
6. Other
7 Abstain

Would we not defend our own cities as well?

I see two options for defensive war:

2a Stay at war, no offensive operations
2b Stay at war, pillage German resources and improvements

Also, a timeframe should be set for this vote. I would prefer it to cover only the upcoming play session.

edit: Also, we need to decide whether to keep or raze. If we raze, I would be more likely to vote for that option as it damages the Germans while giving us already improved land later.

Yes, let us bring forth all the options on the table, at least I see some constructive thinking here. Good job Dave.

It is a difference to stay behind a border and to raid, that is true.

2 b) can be elaborated with raids and ambushes

Please separate the questions though. Peace/war, and war objectives in another poll. The peace/war one can mention the possible objectives because they are valuable information in making that decision.

I just made it a simple run-off from last time, as Ori did not like to mix issues.
