Lets try and keep this thread clean folks.
Firaxis&Co...thanks for a great game. I really do enjoy playing it, and even though im generally disappointed by the patch, I'll still stick by you guys. Please don't give up on us!
Fellow Forum Monkeys, lets make this fun and stay in this format:

RE: The Patch
The Good
Thank you! Finally my workers, when automated, STAY automated when they have nothing to do -- this is an AWESOME time saver and fixed one of the MOST tedious aspects of the pre-patch game!
Yay! I dont have to start near my RL geographic neighbors! I like this feature, mixes the game up a lot. Im having the most fun right now -- im finally seeing the Zulu and Irioquois (and summarily crushed them, of course...muhahahah)
Option added to Show/Hide opponent moves. THANKS guys! My turns don't take 4 or 5 minutes near endgame -- far more reasonable.
Corruption! Oh man, FINALLY it feels right. I can take over a whole continent, and with smart management of the Forbidden Palace and Palace (re)placement, each city will get 2-5 shields easily -- AND thats before i add the courthouse and police station, which makes a noticeble difference! yes! yes!
Air superiority fixed. Thank you!
The Bad
AI still heads for goofy places on my land. Its a waste of their resources usually, and a waste of my time to have to deal with the interloper. Bah...bad strategy.
Goofy unit combat -- yeah, its hard to document well, but doggonnit, I really think that the more modern units should have more of an advantage. Cavalry with same defense as a Hoplite/Pikeman/Knight/War Elephant? I have trouble reconciling that. I threw literally 34 cavalry (of mixed experience) against a fortified elite rifleman in a size 11 city on grassland. Now i didn't work out the math, but in 34 cavalry, 27 went home with 1hp. 7 were killed on the way home (incidental death, but they had to limp home with 1hp too). The Rifleman lost 1 (ONE) hp. Seems like some incredible odds to me.
My diplomatic lines were fine before. Now they keep disappearing. I can't figure out what triggers it or how to get them back.
Major bug not addressed -- cities attacking friendly units (ie French attacking French) -- its really really irritating when it pops up. Its rare, but sometimes I can't fix it -- the city just kills every worker that tries to get in. I watch, weeping in horror as my workforce collapses. Im surprised my economy doesn't go with it.
The Ugly
Ugh the new population numbers. Yuck.
All in all a good first effort...Im forced to give it a B- though
