An update on the terrorist attack...

The would-be assassin was thoroughly interrogated, and it was concluded that the man had no allegiance to any terrorist faction and that he was acting of his own accord. The mans jet, which is Selachiman in design, appears to have been stolen from a Selachiman airbase. The jet will be speedily returned to the Republic of Selachima. The pilot himself will go on trial for his actions.

Also, doctors have confirmed that President Bryan is now in stable condition and is expected to survive. Sadly, the Secretary of War, who survived the initial blast, died in the Intensive care unit earlier the same day.

Meanwhile, Vice President McCloud has lifted the state of emergency, reopening air traffic.

McCloud has also agreed to sign the Treaty of Fifty in President Bryan's name.

Prime Minister Nathalos decides to uphold his Father's International Currency treaty. So far, only Andara and West Tekneronus has signed it. Prime Minister Nathalos also wishes to state that he is a republican, and he thanks Selachima for opening up trade rights with Andara.
The Hunanic Terrorists have also assassinated Ex-King Nathalos. However, their new leader has been found to be Ian Schtunn. Word has it that he is hiding out in Selachima.

While the late King HM Nathalos of Andara was no friend of Selachima, we neither condone nor accept such foul terrorist attacks. All of Selachima is appalled and we condemn the assassination of Nathalos in the strongest terms and will use every means to bring Ian Schutunn and Hunanic terrorists to justice.

Regarding the Technantis terrorist attack, the jet could not have been taken from a Selachiman Airbase as security is practically flawless. Nevertheless, joint Selachiman-Technantis investigations found the jet resembles a SM-51 "Balista" Fighter-Bomber used in the Selachiman Navy (this model is considered to be obsolete and is being replaced by the much more agile and powerful SM-57 "Hayabusa". That an "outdated" Selachiman aircraft flown by an inexperienced terrorist can still cause so much havoc just goes to show... something). Apparently the blueprints for the Balista, as well as a couple of older aircraft models, have been stolen from Selachima. The Selachiman Intelligence Agency is currently investigating this matter as priority number one.

President Bryan is now able to carry out executive duties after his near death in the terrorist attack.

President Bryan has also urged all nations to bolster their anti-air defences, as the attack on his life may be prophetic of future terrorist attacks. Technantis researchers are now studying more advanced anti-air defences and pilots are reciaving more advanced training, making the Technantis air force even more formidable.

Breaking News

Selachiman Military Police has captured 22 members of the Hunanic organization attempting to break in to the Selachiman Air Force Headquarter. The operation was apparently led by Ian Schtunn himself, but he managed to escape. Interrogation of these terrorists has led to the arrests of 673 more terrorists across the country. Five were caught at Cabaquil Airport trying to smuggle their stolen blueprints of SM-57 and the RI-33 Whitehawk Stealth Fighter out of the country. All stolen blueprints have thus been accounted for. Security has been tightened at all military bases, research facilities and Air Force manufacturing plants to prevent something like this from happening again.

In response, surviving members of the Hunanic organization converged on the Rusgian Air Force Base, a small airbase at the western tip of Shark Island. The Hunanic has managed to seize the Airbase due to superior weapons (apparently supplied by a foreign power) and captured a few planes. However, they were all shot down in a short air battle with the Air Force while they were on the way to bomb Carcharopol. The survivors have fortified the Air Base, in anticipation of a Selachiman counterattack and thus total annihilation.

The Hunanic Selachiman Cell has been traced to the city of Zenyma. The entire Cape Tanaerum region has been placed under martial law. A stand-off is expected between the Selachiman Army and the remaining Hunanic terrorists (including Ian Schtunn) entrenched at their compound on the outskirts of Zenyma and those holding Rusgian Airbase.

Areas bordered by blue is under martial law. Hunanic strongholds are purple. Both are surrounded by the Selachiman military. After all stolen planes were shot down at Rusgian the Air Force has complete air superiority over Selachima.

Ian Schtunn has dug a underground tunnel leading out of Zenyma. Once he is past enemy lines, he steals a large bus, and starts driving like mad to Tiamata. After escaping with the remainder of the Terrorist group based in Zenyma, he commandeers a battleship, and destroys the Tiamatan harbor. Then, he starts sailing to New Britain...
Upon hearing this, Prime minister Luke Nathalos immediately apologizes to the Chief Consul of Selachima. Ian Schtunn will be brought to justice. Here is his picture, enclosed within a folder.

The Selachiman Army has retaken Rusgian Air Force. Any terrorists not killed were taken into custody. They will be sent to be interrogated and tried for crimes against humanity. President Bryan and Prime Minister Nathalos are invited to watch.

The Selachiman Air Force has taken off in pursuit of the battleship. A squadron of SM-57 fighter-bombers spotted the Battleship just off the coast of New Britain and bombed it, sinking it. Nevertheless, eyewitness reports on the New British coast reported a number of individuals, one looking very much like Schtunn, walking on to a beach near where the battleship sunk and then called for a cab, traveling into town.

President Bryan has also scrambled several divisions of the Technantis air force to search for and destroy any other hijacked ships. President Bryan has requested permission from New Britain and/or Selachima to patrol their coastlines for hijacked ships.
