The latest patch always redownload my mod.

that still doesnt solve the issue of all your mods being DE-selected every single time!

turning on and off your connection each time is a pain especially for me since i only get connected at a good speed sometimes and if i turn the modem off it will reset to a lower speed.

You don't have to turn off the modem use the local area connection to turn it off which is what i use.

I wonder why PcGamer or other sites didnt at least glance at this story, I mean they made a story of te patch being launched, shouldnt they at least mention that Firaxis released a broken patch?

I reckon it was Steam that broke the patch not Firaxis. I would have thought that Firaxis would have fix it by now.

I am having the same problem:
1. All activated mods are 'magically' disabled (even if internet connection is disabled).
2. All mods are re-downloded.

For me it was triggered when I added G&K (purchased today).
When can we expect a fix?

^^^THIS needs fixing and fast! MOST annoying! Patch broke so many things (namely DX11) that the game is fast becomiing unplayable. with over 3000 hours logged on this thing I hate when firaxis drops the ball as badly as this.

Oh great now I cant load a saved game without running into a runtime error from the .exe, thanks a lot Firaxis, couldnt you just put an option to roll back to before the patch it was working fine then.

Have you turn on your mods as this is the usual cause for the run time error if you don't have your mods ticked.

Yeah they are ticked and Steam is in Online mode, it happens when I try to load a modded save, it wouldnt even let me begin loading it if they werent ticked on, now would it?

Has anyone else noticed that for the past several days there is no "Get Mods" button (the one that takes you to the Steam Workshop from within the game) at the bottom of the mods listing? Is it just me?

Yes, all the mods do continue to download themselves every time the listing is opened. I have been using the Steam offline mode to avoid this. No, I have not been looking for the "Get Mods" button in offline mode.

My button is still there, Im starting to think Firaxis didnt run a throurough test on this patch efore releasing it, by the number and range of people that are having problems with it.

I have notice and i don't have it either. Do you remember seeing it after the fail patch.

Same here CIV 5 G&K.
Maybe I lost subscriptions on workshop site... :crazyeye:

Yes, the "Get Mods" button was there after the installation of the Fall Patch. Then a few days ago it was just not there anymore. I did verify the game cache via steam prior to the button's disappearance but I doubt that could be the cause. At least I would hope that is not the cause.

Somebody did mention in some thread they thought there was a hot fix a couple of days ago and it did a update. But instead it removed the mod button and it didn't fix anything at all.

Hi all, i'm not sure if this is already posted or not, but ever since the new patch came out, every time i go into the mod section, it reloads my downloaded mods and then it crashes and ends the program, i've already verified the cache and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, any ideas?

Moderator Action: Threads merged.

A temporary solution:

most fast way to play using all your mods until Fireaxis fixes the bug:

go to steam workshop
unsubscribe all your items (the mods will still be in your MODS directory)
sort mods by "Enabled" descending (it puts unselected mods first)
click on circle on right side (the selected mods will be moved at the end of the list and the first will be another unselected mod) - do this until you have all your mods enabled
load/play the game

Moderator Action: Attention, a now permabanned user tried to distribute a file, which he labeled as "fix" for this problem. This file is in fact a trojan. Everyone who downloaded and ran this file is adviced to install a current antivirus and clean his/her system up.
Not all antivirus systems detect the trojan. The free AVG antivirus and the free Avira antivirus detect it.
If you installed the "fix", then please download either and clean your system.

Thanks to Hyronymus, who reported this :hatsoff:.

what a tard that guy was! and that other solution it still doesnt stop all your mods being unselected. think i'll just avoid the game till a fix is available.

For ingame "Mod-Button" u need to activate the steam community feature (aka steam-overlay) in Civ's settings -> take a look at my screenshot (its in german but u should know what i mean)
