Considering

- Changed: Lighthouse gives +1 gold from sea plots instead of food

from patch 2.91,

i think it is a big change to gameplay, Coastal Cities with no food near, are ruined up, lighthouse was the saviour to cities stated in islands or without fish near..

It is more realistic, because a lighthouse does not increase food income,
but I think there should be a building improving food income from sea tiles!

what do you think>?
 
The Fishermens hut adds +1 food to water tiles.

The Fisherman's Hut requires a Seafood resource to unlock. It probably shouldn't, since it is now providing a bonus to all sea tiles. It doesn't make sense to have to import a seafood to give your empire the ability to build Fisherman's hut.

I can always change it to require a seafood in the cities vicinity, for A New Dawn. ;)
 
That would probably be sensible :)
 
I think making the Fisherman Hut unlocked locally is a step in the right direction, but I think it would be more fair to remove the prereq altogether so it wasn't just rewarding the guy who already has extra food from Seafood resources. I think it is safe to assume that a worked water tile is providing food from fish, even if the fish resource isn't there. To me the Fish resource always represented a super rich fishing grounds or high quality fish, as opposed to subsistence fishing.

I had some thoughts on the overall balance of the Fish unlocked buildings, and since they include AND buildings, I started up a thread in the AND forum.

Sounds good at first, but one thingh should be considered:
What shall happen with the Colossus? Basically one of the cheapest buildings will now have the effect of a world wonder (save a few GP points, but meh). Ok, if you can still build the Colossus and get its bonus on top, but it still seems weak for a wonder.

Maybe throw in a couple of trade routes for that city?
 
How? Colossus is a world wonder, lets speak about common buildings? we need more food in watertiles for common cities!
I meant that I'll fix the Fisherman's hut requirements. Lighthouse and Colossus will stay as they are now.
 
Cool, I like that decision, thanks for making this a great mod, me and my friends cant play civ vanilla anymore

(and keep us up to date with REVmod! as we play a lot in multiplayer)
 
Withdraw the requirement for Fisherman hut is a good idea, but local seafoods ressources may dramaticly increase its productivity.

About the lighthouse,
1. give a chance for all ships to be sink because of rocks in the water near coast ? (eg. 1/100 to 1/100.000 throw ages)
2. make the lighthouse decrease this risk per X% (eg. 500%) ?

I'm new on this board, hi all and, i apologize to not read the 50.000 threads about RoM ... in case i say something already said :D
