Question: this magazine cover (from June 1978) says "ABORTION BACKLASH AND THE VGH." What does that mean? I looked it up and it means Victoria General Hospital. I dont get what "backlash" means though.

And what is a "Gay Hoon Case"?

Backlash means that a group of people react angrily and publicly to some event or news.
