My last name means little foot in Italian. Its pretty funny since I wear a 12 1/2 W.

Meaning of my family name is not clear. It should be related to fire, burn or spice.
My name had relatively famous poet Josef Palivec, he was anti-fascist and had ties with Karel Čapek. Communists arrested him for 20 years. However ties between me and him are quite unclear, he should be very distant relative.
Another famous is literary figure of Jaroslav Hašek´s The Good Soldier Švejk, inkeeper Palivec.

Our Davis was apparantly welsh Davies, which means son of David. My mothers side is way more interesting, but my last name is my last name.
