The mod is still in Alpha stage and will be based upon the Civ4 Warlords scenario "Genghis Khan" and the Civ2 scenario "The Mongols" from Harlan Thompson.

Features:
-Scenario for Warlords expansion
-287*113 Eurasia map
-probably 4 turns per year
-24 Civilizations, most will be playable
-the first beta should be coming in 2-3 months

The base work on the map is done and currently cities are being placed on the map. I could need some help to finish work, especially on techs or units, but also suggestions for resource placement, terrain or city names. So anyone, who is interested to join or help should contact me.

My big question: How did you get the map set up just as the parameter, did you start from scratch or add on to the current warlords genghis khan map?

I am working on the same thing as you are just with the Rise of persia based on alexander and I want to expand then parameters of the map to the west, maybe south, and north. I have problems doing this as their is a failure loading the map with I believeth cvgamecore. I did successfully add india in the east. Here's the thing I could add 20 squares to the east but not 25, what's up with that? Could you help me please with my map problem since I would really like to add rome, carthage, and such. Thanks

Also I can help you with your map with civs and cities if you need it, I am an expert with ancient/ medieval city placement and I have tons of really nice resources at my disposal. I did start modding the genghis khan scenarion a month ago but abanded it when I couldn't add tiles to the south like india and southeast asia.

I would really be interested in joining because I love this time period. Unfortunately I can only offer my skills with cities and maps, and xml.
I had some really great ideas with this scenario.

From what you have on the cities map I can help you dump loads of cities in central asia, india and everyplace else you are missing.

From scratch, I did pick a good map and did some distance calculations first, then I tried to minimize errors and did use BMP to WBS Converter to create a base map.
Expanding an existing map is very hard and probably not worth it. Also does the Genghis Khan scenario map not really convince me.

You might have missed a coordinate. As long as you do not pass 32768 plots, the map should work. At the start of the scenario file (under public maps) after the civilizations, the x and y plots are shown, maybe those numbers must be exactly equal to the plots. Have you added coordinates without changing those?

You are welcome.

Thanks for the map help, sois it possible for me to create a new map larger than my old one, and transplant info like cities, resources and such from my old one to my new one? Also, so the the bmp to wbs converter works with warlords wbs files?

If you are feeling comfortable with me, you can send me the wbs file and I can put on some cities.(i won't take off ones you have put on).
Do you know what civs/leaders you are using, becuase I can give you my suggesttions.

This is possible, but if the old map does not have the same scale, it will be very difficult.

It creates a Civ4 file, but if you change the ending of the file, then it will also work for warlords.

I have sent you an email, it is best, if you look at the whole mod, so you can get a better impression or make suggestions.

Thanks, this is extremely helpful so now I can create my own map for my mod.:goodjob:

I'll send you some suggestions after I look over it.
