It'll be interesting as a good deal of nation wiithe not have access to iron, or others horses, and some both, not to mention a good deal of other resources along the- will it propmote peace and trade, or WAR!

There are some touch ups I need to do, but when I make a map, I make a map

Its almost 1 in the morning where I live- I'm going to bed :)

Xen:

To change effects of global warming:

Goto: Edit rules
Goto: Terrain
Look: Middle left, "Pollution Effects"

Whatever terrain type to select is the terrain that the square will become when global warming takes effect.

Xen: If you're making a scenario in ptw language, I doubt that it will be any good for my 1.29 experience.

Note: Info on New Paalia updated on page 3 of this thread ;)

My suggestions are then these:
* You can release the civfanatica nationstates map - a version without ptw related material, that is in addition to the version you're doing right now.
* someone could make a non-ptw version
*just keep on going with what you're doing right now (though in my case that wont make the scen available till conquests is out)

About the map, as it is now:

IMHO it looks great - and I hope you place both luxuries and resources strategically -> to allow for :D TRADE or  WAR

Ideas for spinofs: (a popular thing to do these days it seems;) )

1)Scenarios for each age
- create scenarios based on feedback on the map, resource-placement, and customized settings, that you're building now
2)Scenarios for different parts of the civfanatica region
- these can be multiplayer scenarios -> and might be a fun, more action-oriented way of playing nationstates - the civ way

as always - my 2 paalians (national currency)`worth

Edited to include more text

@ Paalikles- I'm pretty sure i can make a version for both (unless I have to re-make the map...)

resources will definetlly be strtegiclly based, and where a resource is found it will be aboundant (usually)

I had the same Idea for spin off scenarios, focusing in on a portion of the map like lets say this is the scena-

It is the early middle ages, the NRI republic has pulled out most of its legions from its main land territories to participate in the refounding of the constitution after the internal social war (a bloodless coo against the nobles)

the player has the option of being the NRI reminant forces- weak at the begining (youd start with less forces), but if you can build up some strength you should have few problems defending the territories (or conqouring new ones) or you can be one of the othe more northern and cednteral nation to try to build up a new empire (the older empires of the mainland, or most of them atleast, would have crumbled by now) and mabey even make the last push to drive the NRI republic off the mainland.

submissions will be accepted for scenarios which have a similer background (it has to be a fairly major event in your nations history) of just about any time, as long as it dosent flat out contradict a previous scenario (or a nations history)

also, as soon as conquests come out, I plan to upgrade the map to suit it better, and any scenarios out by then :)

so?- my nation has an offical alternate spelling :p

here is some more...

REMEMBER! all new nations choose a territory, also, to make it easyer on me, all nations not represented on the official map plase re-post what territory they want, if there is demand, more desert land will be re-claimed

I have a map, and hope to post it soon. My map is a bit less rocky

I don't care much about how much strategic resources I actually get, as long as I have a lush forest with some Uranium in it (Not that I want to nuke people ;) )

I'll get the map up soon (my city names are based almost entirely of one game I played of civ3, and don't necessarily reflect any geographic regions)

Can my leaderhead be Hiawatha?

sure, Hiawatha is a fresh face from the cr of people to late to claim Caesar(me) and Alexander(calgacus)
