6)Sparta, located at a rivermouth in western Civfanatica with a temperate climate and rolling grasslands, was the ideal location to begin a grand civilization to stand the test of time.

For the first thousand years, expansion was the prime agenda of Sparta. After 100 years, a dual monarchy was set up, to end a brutal feud between 2 royal families. Military training was strict in Sparta at that time, thanks to philisophical laws pondered by the few famous Spartan philosophers. Children were taken away at 6 and trained until age 20, when he could marry, and couldn't live at home until age 30. He had to serve in the military until age 60.

At roughly 3000 BC, the Spartans, having their first five cities, decided that the people were losing faith in their nation as a cultural engine. So they began work on a wonder of the world, the Great Wall. It was much work, but when it was completed after 10 years, the people rejoiced and rediscovered their Spartan heritage. It was a Golden Age for Sparta.

During the Spartan Golden Age, civil unrest and protests were virtually unknown. They had also constructed the great Marble Pyramids, and the Great Lighthouse. Of course, this cultural outburst led to new ideas as well, and the theory of the Republic came to prominence.

Much fighting ensued by the year 2160 BC. One house, the Anthropoi house, fought for this republic. Whereas the Tyrannos house wanted to have a one-house reform, and make it an absolute Monarchy. There were 10 major cities by now, with most of them on the Anthropoi side. By the year 2125 BC, after 35 years, the last heir to the Tyrannos house was killed, and the Spartan Republic was formed. Some traditions were kept, though. Such as the strict military training. But rather than going at 6, they went at 10 years of age.

After the great revolt, a new age of expansion and discovery ensued. Many other civilizations were discovered, some of which Sparta allied with itself. At year 100, a new age was heralded by feudalism, and a monotheistic religion called Enatheos. Enatheos was welcomed amongst many groups, and soon it had matched the old religion in religious population. Another thousand years of expansion came along. A few colonies were founded on the big island of the Island chain in the North Aphex Sea. The most important one was Port Sparta.

In 1300 AD, the Spartan Republic was breaking up into states, many seceding from the Republic. The Republic was corrupt. When Agios came to power in 1345 AD, his first act was to (secretly) assasinate all of the senators, except those who had managed to resist the massive corruption. He called for a Democratic reform, in which the people directly voted for who ruled. The term limits wouldn't be applied for another 500 years, but it was a start. Of the 11 "states" that had broken up, 7 reunited itself with Sparta, but others were not convinced.

In 1686 AD, the discovery of steam power slowly but surely ushered in the Industrial Revolution, and it was sert into full motion in 1720. Factories were produced, coal was manufactured and so forth.

In 1800, the Spartans decided to create a "Federation" of states. The borders were drawn, and the Federation granted equal powers to the state as well as the central govt, and this drew the states back into Sparta. A new flag was formed:

The stars represented the 12 states, the olive wreath encircling symbolized unity, and the lamda represented Sparta as a united people.

After the Federation of the Spartan States was formed, an age of peace and unfettered research ensued.

P.S. If possible, I'd like my country to be in that white spot with the 2 on it,and the overseas colonies would be above the red line in that Island Chain.

You might want to cut me out of the map, I'm no longer in this region.

[please delete]

Oh! What I meant by "I'll take the white spot with the big 2 on it":
The Commander of the Federation of the Spartan States has deemed territory 2 worthy of his presence.;)

No wonder nobody wants terrtory 2! It stinks! Can I have Territory 5??? If not, I think I'll make my own custom land...

I'll decide it that will be appropreiate ;), making a custom land... i dislike letting most people do it, but under the circumstances, three nations have clearance to do so if they wish-

-the NRI republic (cause I made that map, establish early on that my nation was not present in the origional day of the region, and am the UN deligate)

-Gothiscandza- the founder fo the region, he obviouslly gets beifits

-New Plexia- helpful in giveing yet a secand renascance to our region, he deservs a reward

if you dont mind, i would like to keep your nation- it has a cool name ;), and as a friend i would enjoy having you nation in the scenario- and there is always an open invitation to return, or make a new nation to be in the region ;)

also, i should add that i will NOT be adding custome leaderheads- custom civlopedia enteries, and units are ahrd enough...
