So, what did you think of the da Vinci Code film? Did it live up to your expectations? Was it a flop? Did Audrey Tatou look good in that suit? Will you see it again?

:D

I haven't read the book and I haven't seen the film and I doubt I will unless forces me to.

I did watch the documentary hosted by Balderick. That was more than enough to tell me it's not worth the bother, but then again most hype isn't.

Read the book and saw the film. The book was 5 times better than the movie, and the book was only medicore

now i thought the book was amazing sure, but the film actually clarified me on some certain details.

a book cannot describe some of the actions of the characters, especially how the camera moves at the end, through the Louvre pyramid, through the chalice pyramid, through the phalice pyramid, into the ground, and then seeing the tfinal resting place of mary magdalene.

best bit of the film, in my opinion.

I loved the book but the film was much worse IMO. Maybe not awful (it had Sir Ian for rescue) but definitely not good enough.

Audrey Tautou is really, really beautiful. If Jesus' heir looked like her, I might (might!) consider converting.

Her earlier work in "Amelie" is interesting too.

It was something new and interesting, therefore thumbs up.

State the obvious... :D

It was a very thought provoking movie, and it was a lot better then the critics said. The book is pretty good, although to be honest the writing isn't that great in some areas.

Movie:B+
Book:B+

One of the few cases where the book is no better then the movie.

Have not read the heretical Book and I have not seen the heretical movie.

Sanctimonious righteousness is not nearly as pleasant when you are on the receiving end, eh? ;)

My faith is not that weak. Plus, I believe that Da Vinci Code is just a pile of heretical rubbish and misconceptions of Jesus himself. Jesus never had a wife nor an heir, The Priory of Sion is created in 1956 as a hoax by Pierre Plantard, as well as other conspirices that are false.

Just because it's false doesn't make it a bad movie.

I thought the book was just barely mediocre. Since a couple of people whose opinions I trust told me that the movie was worse than the book, I won't see the movie.
