As a fan of the Palladium Fantasy Role Playing Game published by Palladium Books, I've always thought that the pangea map of the Palladium world would be a great map for Civ. So now I've finally created one.

The map is a flat world 115x125 (Huge). There are 15 civs on the map with starting positions and leaders/civs based on published material from the RPG source books.

I've been working on a scenario of the actual Palladium world using the FfH2 mod but haven't finished it yet. But playing regular Civ BTS on this map is also a good time, though the distances between civs are great. The idea is that this will lead to some epic land battles.

Enjoy

I tried the map, really liked its design. Started as the Romans because Praetorians can be quite effective on pangea maps. Played Marathon speed. Well I explored quite a bit, built the Great Wall, reached other civilizations and discovered Iron Working... No iron and the only Copper I could see was next to Shaka's territory. So I retired.
It's really too bad because this map looks really good.

None,

Thanks for the heads up. The file I previously uploaded was somehow altered so that there were no goody huts and there was poor placement of resources. I don't know how it happened but I've now fixed it and changed a few other things.

1. Better placement of Civs
2. Added goody huts
3. Resources more equally distributed
4. Uranium resources only found in uninhabited areas such as the southern half of the Land of the Damned, Baalgor Wastelands, Ophid Grasslands, and Isle at the Edge of the World. These areas also tend to contain extra oil resources.

For a more Palladium like game, I recommend that you turn on Raging Barbarians. There's a lot of space out there and in Palladium it tends to be filled with thugs.

Cheers

Great! I will check it out and report if I find anything weird.

Thanks for the update Diurnan.

Hi I could use a couple pointers diurnan. I'm trying to convert it to work with the Rise of Mankind mod and need to figure out how to replace the map markers. All the original goody huts are in place but I had to strip the resourses and set it to random to have the map script place the extra resources from that mod. Current tools being used are notepad and MapView 2.0.

Hope to hear back from you and thanks for the great map.

BTW what effect did you use for the glow over the Great Rift in the Land of the Damned?
