At this late stage in a failed disastrous military adventure, only 57% agree with Congress? Thats hardly something to crow about. It shows that even now, the country is still roughly split down the middle, and theres lots of fighting ahead (on the home front). If I was a Republican, Id be cheered by this poll.

Also, Im sure if it had been targeted at likely voters, the President might still have an edge.

Im open to the possibility that I have a tendency to underestimate the intelligence of the voting public, but recent history would seem to argue against that. We'll see, alot can happen between now and the election. As of this moment though, IMO, the Dems are playing a losing hand.
