I'd add Brazil and Argentina. Yes, I know they aren't major powers, nor were the ever. But Civ3 is all about the counter factual. Oh and they're pretty powerful at football.

Well, I got to admit.. the Gaucho would be a pretty tight ass replacement for the cavalry
 
I propose to add
Inca, Brazil and argetina (as SoCalian said) necause if there is USA so what about brazil and argentina?
In africa, mali, ethipia, and zair (I know there was a tieb there, I don't know it's name now...)
In asia the khmer (where is cambodia is, right?) Kazaks and indonesia (with a boat UU that comes much earlier)
In Austrlia the aborigines, and in the pacific the polinazines (or whatever they called)
NOT netherland, portugal and esapicaly not poles (too many eastern eruope countryes)
And NOT NOT NOT israel or jews because that area is bombed with countries. just like europe.
And hitties?! what? turkey and babylon are not enough?

1. America has been superior in pretty much everything but soccer for its whole existance.

2. The paciffic is an ocean. It is not a landmass. There is absolutely no point to adding a civ in the middle of an ocean.

3. WHAT???? What do you mean there are "too many eastern European countries"?!?!? Name them!!! Russia is the ONLY east european country there, unless you count the greeks. The Poles sure as hell deserve to be in there more than the aborigenees or the "polinazines". I'm not sure you understand what eastern means.

4. Agree about the hitties.
 
1. Who cares that america was supirior? It wasn't very good at keeping itself united for some time...

3) Germany, Russia, Rome and Greece all need to fight for east Europe. France and Spain have the west (maybe also a bit to germany)
And don't forget that in some world maps the celts are starting in eastern europe... so it's neather 4 or 5 already.

I'm talking about the world map btw, only about that.

In A regular game I want all civs and all countries that ever been in the world... but I don't think firaxis-atari or whtever they now called will bring to us ALL countries and ALL civs ever to be on earth... too bad...

Well, number of civs available, for one thing. Brazil and Argentina are young nations and have had little impact in world affairs to this point. Besides, you have to take into account that the majority of the people playing the game are Americans.

It would be nice to add every country in the world. For me, Brazil would be after Canada and Mexico in New World civs to be added.

I agree that the Songhai(Mali) and the Abyssinians(Ethiopia) have as good a case as any to be included. I don't think there were any civilizations in southern Africa, and that's where the Zulus are anyway.

The Mongols fill up the Kazak area, but I agree that the Khmers could go in. Personally, I would pick the Siamese instead. An Indonesian civ could be either the Sumatrans or Javanese, unless I'm mistaken.

Two horrible suggestions, sorry. They were both essentially cavemen. There are many more deserving civs than them.

Dude, there is one eastern european country, two if you count Greece. All three of those nations have played a huge role in the history of the world. They deserve to be in. Forget the stupid "world map" argument.

I agree with this. Assyrians, maybe, but not the Hittites.
 
You can include the Sumerians with the Hittites as civs tht are there but shouldn't be.
 
I always felt that the Babylonians were a sort of cover all for the ancient Mesopotamian empires such as the Assyrians, Sumerians, Chaldeans, and of course the Babylonians.

Absolutely right. Brazil, Argentina, Souix, Inca, Maya(mabey not) and, Canada would be beter additions to the Americas. I'm tired of playing as grand empires of old. I would enjoy playing as a modern nation such as Brazil or Argentina that aren't exactly major powers now, but have the potential to be in the next 100 years.

I was inspired to make a Mod of my own country. Luckily, the feeling has passed now. And no, no one has made a Mod of New Zealand. They made one of Australia but it's not the same.

I voted the Polynesians.Why?
Months ago I saw a program on discovery channel.

Not to cause offense, but this qualifies Polynesia to be a civ in the game why?
