The Rohirrim

I made some more but I don't think they're as good as the two in the first screenshots. I also reboned some of SeZ's old ones but I can't really take credit for them ;) These are kind of low priority at the moment but I'll finish them eventually.

...Also I need to finish off Rohan by making a settler, worker and anything else I've forgotten. Because dwarves are more useful to you other guys I'll probably move them up the list though :)

Beautiful work! What is the status of the settlers and workers?

These are perfect for my Norse-based fantasy civ. I'm very excited about how nice they look -- you did a really good job! My husband and son are going to be envious when I surprise them during our Christmas Civ-a-thon. :D

Haven't started them yet :( but I was going to use the peasant as a base so they shouldn't take too long to finish once I start them. I've got a long list of other stuff that I'm supposed to finish first though :(

That's okay! I'm looking forward to them. Meanwhile I'm so happy with the units you've already completed that I can't stop grinning. Thank you for making them!

Merry Christmas! :D

just noticed those dwarves.
look great!
may I ask which of mine you used? cant think of anything useful right now :)

It was the worker and an assassin one I think :) They really suit the Lotr with the hoods and cloaks they're wearing :D I reboned one into an archer unit and another onto a horse (and I'll decrease the scale so it's a pony ;)) and they looked pretty good.

alright. im a little new here (this is my first post here w00t) and ive done a little browsing and dling. i found this file nd said "hey, this is REALLY cool" and downloaded it. im not exactly new to modding civ4, ive actually done a little bit of work adding some stuff of my own, but this just beats me. even though ive gone through a few tutorials on adding new units, im still lost. i made a crack attempt at adding this stuff.... and.... lets just say i got nowhere. its not so much adding the unit in as it is getting the units animations and accessories into the game (which is what im having trouble with). so if ANYONE coulde help me out a little, id be much obliged.

and also: if im making a custom civ and i want to have more than one unique unit, i just use the same unique unit tag in the XML for the CivilizationInfos file, right? gotta check, the two things im doin here coincide for a little project im doin.

and btw, these units look AWESOME. i cant wait to get em into my game!

I've covered all the art and animation properties in the file I included.. just throw all that xml into the unitart file in your mod, and after you've made the actual units, refer them to the art from that file. Also make sure your folder structure matches that off the unitart file. I think that's pretty much it, unless you had anything specific? :) Folder structure is the most important thing, if the file is searching for art in the wrong place then it's not going to work.

Hey, chuggy.

Do you have al of your lotr units, or were they lsot in the hack.

I have them if you lost any.

I don't think I have all of them but some of my older ones were pretty bad quality anyway... I'll probably see if I can find the elves and the rohan ones though, they might be still on my comp somewhere.

Please do. I would hate to miss out on your work just because I was late to the party, as it were.

I've uploaded the rohirrim at filefront now so it should be a bit more reliable... also I've compressed it using 7-zip for a smaller file size. :)

To unpack it use the newest version of WinRAR or download 7-Zip.
